It does really work.
I was skeptical before buying it but I must do something to my stinking shoes, for I perspire a lot. I walk a lot in Seattle area due to my work and stand for hours because I also work on a fast food chain. I tried to use foot powder on my feet and shoes and my shoes still stinks. So I bought a pair of these, twist to open it, and leave it inside the toe area on my just used shoes over night. No more stinky shoes from this time. It has become my habit to drop it on my shoes after wearing it. I'm now planning to buy another pair for the days that I use 2 shoes in a day.
Air freshener for your shoes
They are what they advertise - deodorizers. They add a deodorizer smell to cover the odor in a clever little package. My hopes were too high - I have been looking for something that kills the bacteria that causes the odor in damp or sweaty shoes ranging from my hiking boots to athletic shoes to evening slippers. These don't do it - my shoes smell like air freshener covering bacterial odor. I should have read the packaging more carefully, so my bad. I will keep looking for an effective shoe odor REMOVER.
Multiple Purposes
8 day camping trip with no showers and these little balls freshened my boots up right away. I left them in there for about a week. Afterwards they still had some scent left so I thought: "Hey, why don't I use these to freshen up the room?" and voila. Then I thought, "hey, why don't I use these still to freshen up my car?" Again, voila. After all of that, they are still lasting. They are worth the $5 or $6 or whatever they cost.
No More Stinky Feet!!!
I bought these for my hockey skates (They get pretty nasty smelling) and I am glad to say that they are almost completely stank free! Very impressive product!

I keep one in my gym locker and another in the closet. Still going strong after all these years!
Strong and Effective
I found these to be a great temporary fix for my running shoes in combination of throwing the shoes in the wash before inserting. (ON cloud) If I knew where they rolled off to, I’m sure they’d still have their scent. (They could potentially be overwhelming to anyone who is sensitive.)
