Screening Point-safe, key-sized tool
IMBW but Aussie law prohibits EDC-ing a multitool. Being bladeless and petite-sized are features that make a tool legal to carry. It opens bottle caps easily, once you've perfected the technique. If you're out and your pen requires some love, this is a wiser alternative for opening boxes. One could also adjust some belts with this tool and save a bad day. It's thoughtfully designed to interact friendly with pockets - does not trap lint, sits flush to other keys and has no oddly pointy edges or coarse surfaces. On the silver-coloured model, the rulers could be etched deeper and with longer lines reaching the edge to aid the eye. Ruler on the silver-coloured model would probably outlast the black-coloured model.
I like it; good basic tool
I carry this around with me all the time, switching between my home/car key chain and my work key chain. I think by far the most useful feature for me is the box opener. That little pointy end is sharp, but not so much that you'll cut yourself. You have to press to cut the tape on a box, and with a little more pressure, can cut the cardboard itself. Part of the reason I got it was that I can't carry most of my tools with me when I fly, and this is supposed to be TSA-friendly, though I haven't put that to the test yet. I've used almost all of the tools: Ruler (standard on one side, metric on the other), flat head screwdriver and bottle opener. I haven't used the hex wrenches, and it seems like it might be hard to get a hex bolt in there against a flat surface, but that's just speculation. The only downside I can think of is that because of the large open area in the middle, some people may find it annoying that it will slide up and down your key chain and entangle other keys. My key chain is already bulky enough that this doesn't bother me. All in all, I'm glad I have it.
Improvable
I'm a german waiter and bought this Tool as second bottle-opener and box opener. While the box opener is quiet good, which is no miracle cause a simple key or pen does nearly the same job, the botle open fails on 3 out of 4 atempts. Thats because the hook-end is not shaped thin or long enough. Yesterday I needet a wrench to tighten a 8mm screw for keeping my headlight in place - simple job - not if the tool usese medieval wrench widht.
Useful when you wouldn't expect it to be
I've had this tool since... 2011? 2010? It's been so long that I dont remember anymore. I use it to open boxes (works a little better after filing the corner a little sharper) - to open beers - as a makeshift screwdriver - as a cm/ in ruler for small things like screws and hex heads - as a pry tool - as a scraper - to attach items to my keychain temporarily - the list can go on and on. For such a small piece of metal, I get a ton of use out of it. It's no thicker than a standard house key, and I hook it into my thumbdrive, which fits it like a glove. It's hardened, and so it does not bend even with a significant amount of pressure on it when used as a pry bar or scerw driver. I use the hex slot thing more often to guage the diameter of a bolt than I do to screw the hex head with. Only con is that it's called a doohickey. It deserves a more professional name than that!
Very useful for security auditors
I bought five of these little tool for our security audit team, after an extensive research for a suitable EDC tool that not only looks cool, but also looks less aggressive. DoohicKey Key tool is the best tool since it has a carton box opener, and a ruler for handy measurement. It's a thumb's size so it's very convenient, you can keep it in a pocket, in your notebook or with your keys. One star deducted for the weak bottle opener, it usually takes two attempts to open a bottle, not cool
Not really good for anything
I wasted 5 bucks on this as an impulse buy. I thought I'd clip it too my Nalgene bottle loop to hook it on my belt loop, basically the opening on the clip isn't big enough to conveniently clip onto anything but keys. The box opener blade thing is ok but a house key is better and a razor blade is best. Obviously the wrenches are there so they can make it look more useful than it really is. The ruler is 2" long guess or use a real ruler. If you need to tighten a screw that that screw driver fits in your probably not gonna have enough of a handle on it to get the necessary torque. Lastly the bottle opener, I'm straight edge so it's rare that I need a bottle opener I'm sure it works great but I also know your can open a bottle with just about anything, keys, the screw driver, your teeth, a lighter, another bottle..... I also can't believe your reading a review on a key chain bottle opener.
VERY handy
I originally wanted the Doohickey so I would stop using my knife a pry bar and it works well for that. However, the most use I get from this is cutting open boxes. I have used the rules twice when I did not have my multi-tool on me. I have also used this as a screwdriver when adding a key to my Keysmart. This is a great tool and a very good way to start a EDC kit. I only wish it had a glass breaker.
Just as Important as the Keys Themselves
I am very happy I decided to order this to put myself over the $50 threshold to get free shipping while ordering gifts for my family. This product comes everywhere with me and I find that the flat edge/ scraper part and the bottle opener are the most useful. It's also about the same size as a normal house key, so it's super easy to carry. I would recommend this and even buy this for friends.
Great Addition to the key ring
Purchased this a few years ago because I kept finding myself needing a screwdriver, wrench or box cutter when my tool bag was no where close. Working in the HVAC industry the wrench sizes are just right and this tool has come in quite handy. Going to try the + model as I have found myself needing a Philips as well as a cutter for zip ties and plastic strapping.

Neat little doohickey. I used it at least three times on the day that I bought it. It's been handy almost every day for prying, scraping, or opening a battery door. As a bottle opener, meh. It's rather short, and placing the bottle opener on the same side as the clip shortens available leverage even more. Otherwise this is a great little tool!
