Better than ziplocs
I got tired of putting my toiletries in quart-sized ziplocs for car camping and overnight travel. I recently used this for several 10-day work trips to the Mojave and essentially lived out of my car - my toiletry kit was really clutch the entire time. While heavier than ziplocs, its much more durable, and if you get it wet on the inside (wet toothbrush etc) it will dry out no problem without getting your other stuff wet.The bag is pretty small, but its durable enough to stuff pretty full. I've fit: 8oz liquid soap, 2.5oz shampoo, travel toothbrush, half tube of toothpaste, pocket moisturizer, 4oz hand sanitizer, small pill bottle, half sponge, nail clippers, athlete's foot cream, chapstick, floss, and sunscreen stick
Used this to upgrade my old backpack
I'm not using this for what it is designed for. I sewed nylon webbing belt loops on it and slid it over the hip belt on my older Kelty Red Cloud backpack. I've used it a couple of times on some shakedown hikes and I think I'll add another one to the other side and my pack will be like the newer models.
Perfect size for travel and the gym
I used to use a small packing cube for toiletries when traveling because they're easier to fit and squish into luggage than a giant, structured toiletry kit, but cubes don't have any organization. All your stuff is one "box". This kit has 2 zippered pockets, in addition to the main compartment for organizing the small stuff (like combs and lip balms) and still stays a nice, small size - well-designed kit, REI! The deets: - Fits all travel-size stuff I need (if you want more than the travel-size, go for a bigger kit.) - Has gussets on the side so when you have it open, it expands and makes it easy to find and grab things - 1 interior zippered mesh pocket. 1 exterior zippered pocket - no extraneous piping on the sides to give the bag structure - makes it squishable for a tight fit in luggage. - hanging loop let's you hang it up in the gym, - water resistant - also helpful for the gym
Excellent contact lens bag
I use the main pocket for my contact lens stuff. I can fit in: - Contact lens case - Glasses w/ semi-rigid case - Travel-size contact solution - Eye drops With plenty of space left for any extra stuff that I may need (extra eye drops or pills or whatever). In the small side pocket, I can also fit: - Toothbrush (full size) - Travel toothpaste - Dental floss The bag feels very well made and it's also very light and small and the color is gorgeous.
great little bag
have the micro in both colors (i prefer the blue...it's easier for my aging eyes to see!)....i use 1 for travel and the other for hiking and/or at work. keep meds, band-aids, spare contacts, lip balm, you-name-it...it holds an amazing amount of stuff & the inside+outside pockets help keep things more organized....hope REI keeps making these in bright, easy-to-see colors!
Does the Trick
Fits overnight and weekend essentials, not meant for longer needs like shampoo or anything beyond travel sizes. Fits a normal size toothbrush, but not a larger electric one. Perfect for glasses case or deodorant, as well as small pill bottle, toothpaste etc.
Good toiletry bag for camping
This is a very good toiletry bag for camping! It provides enough room for a toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, medication, shampoo, body wash, and soap!
Perfect for one bag travelers
I am a one bag travel enthusiast and have used several toiletry kits in my life. This so far is the best because its small and compact and can fit a lot of items.
small bag for short trips
Nice size bag for shorter trips where you don't need everything.
Dopp kit
Carry a larger one. This blue piece of container is not big enough for a weekend for one who carries their own shower gel & other appropriate toiletries. This bag looks like it can carry enough for one to brush their teeth in the office bathroom after lunch, or it is for one who does not cleanse themselves much over a weekend!!! Just my opinion!!
