Great bike!
Ordered this bike a while ago and have enjoyed riding it. It's a brilliant design. Very comfortable and durable. Love the disk brakes, overall profile and riding posture, as well as the gearing. It's a perfect commuter bike.
paint quality
really good bike i have Control 4. my cannondale experiences over 5 years different models Lefty fork ( bad boy , rush , f28 and another ) .... but only one negative side for this model . paint quality - compared 07 Rush and 2016 Contro - clear coating very soft easily to get scratches :( ........
City Bike plus
I have been riding my Contro since January 2017, commuting to work everyday around 20k per day. After all, I can say it is the perfect bike for city (Living in Shanghai), provides you the handling you need to dodge cars and scooters, but at the same time the robustness you need for them to notice you. At the same time, it responds quickly to the stops and goes for the traffic lights, where the 10s and the disk brakes comes to be an excellent choice. It was after 3 years of full riding (~13k) that I had to change the chain, cassette and brakes; making the maintenance very appropriate for a urban city. From the style point to of view, you will be riding a very unique bike which will make you the attraction on the road, which by the way it could turn out in a softy feature, and the kickstand is a game changer, even though at the beginning I had doubts about it, now I found it extremely helpful for the parking and also for the care of the bike in terms of avoiding scratches. So far, I have changed the original saddle for Brooks B17, the pedals for an AVE ones and the handlers for wider ones (those 3 original components are the downside for this bike in my opinion). Last but not least, I could agree the rack Is not as big as it could be, but at the same time it is the perfect design to keep the bike with the stylish look it comes with. Even though I have taken it for a 200k country ride with not problem at all on packing my staff for a 2 days journey, at the end it is a city bike, where the rack serves to carry on the basic things you need for a day at office. In my case I got a Timbuk that made the job just fine. Last but not least: I love my Contro and this is feeling very difficult to get when things are related to a bicycle: riders knows that!
Not a good value for the money.
A really disappointing ride from a quality manufacturer; returned the bicycle for a full refund; the rear carrier is useless; bike is uncomfortable; shop around, there are more functional, utilitarian hybrids out there for less money.
As good a product as Cannondale has ever offered.
People keep looking at Lefty forks and tripping out over them. They have been around over 17years. My first thought is they are new to cycling and in fact many are not. We'll get over it. It's nothing new. Everything from automobiles to Airplanes have been using them for decades. Sheesh
PERFECT COMMUTER BIKE
