Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small, Portable, Powerful I needed a light, easy-to-carry flashlight for home and away that uses easily available batteries. This small flashlight, which is about .75" x 4", can give an impressive 130 lumens on high when I need it, 50 lumens on medium which is what is normally needed, and 8 lumens which I use when I don't want to wake my spouse when I'm up at night. It uses one AA battery and has a convenient wrist strap. Oddly, I almost returned it because I thought it was broken - the instructions didn't mention that you switch between modes AFTER you click it on by just lightly tapping on the clicker. This has become my favorite flashlight - it fits anywhere (luggage, briefcase, purse, etc.), small size, lightweight, 3 modes, one AA battery that lasts a long time, wrist strap, good price, and it's a Fenix - you can't ask for more than that!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great EDC torch I utilized my dividend to pick up this torch, and am extremely glad I did so. It's such a handy little light that I will have to get one for my wife. The batteries are cheap and easy to find, rechargeables are readily available, and it fits in your pocket without sticking out like a hair in a biscuit. The three output levels are a cinch to toggle between, and I have been exceedingly happy with it thus far. I would recommend this to everyone I know.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent AA flashlight The E12 is another version of the LD12. The LD12 runs about $50 and has a few more features. The E12 doesn't have a pocket clip or strobe setting but it makes it up with price, lens focus, size, and weight. -The E12 doesn't have a pocket clip like the LD12. Not a big deal but an Every Day Carry light normally has a clip. -The lens focus on the LD12 is tighter. It's useful but the E12 is more useful. -The E12 is smaller, putting it in the same range as an E01 (keychain flashlight). The weight is closer to an E01 than it is the LD12. Overall, the E12 has great battery life, is small, and has a nicely focuses and bright light. Unlike other "E" series flashlights, it has a tailcap switch with is much easier to use than the twist switches. For the money, this is an excellent product that I keep tucked away in backpacks for quick use. I would highly recommend this light! *Another consideration is that AA batteries are fairly common and can be easily transported on aircraft. For use overseas, this may be a better choice than lights which use the 123A (lithium) batteries.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bright, compact, light, and sturdy I'm very happy with this light. It's quite bright (especially on high) and it's compact, reasonably lightweight, and seems well-made. I haven't used it enough yet to judge runtime, but we'll hope the published numbers are correct.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best EDC Light I wanted something small but I did not want to sacrifice lumen output and this is the perfect match! The light has 3 different modes which gives you flexibility, at the 130 lumen setting the light is bright enough to blind someone. If I could change one thing I would give the light memory so that when you turn it back on it goes to the light level it was on last time, other than that this is a GREAT tiny little flashlight!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just bought number 5 I bought one of these a few years ago and it quickly became my favorite/most used flashlight. Soon I had two, and then bought two more for friends. Unfortunately I lost both of mine and now it was time to replace. Can't wait to have my reliable friend back!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light compact light This is a lightweight compact light that is surprisingly bright. Three settings allow you to select the brightness/runtime you want. For its size it looks like a AAA battery flashlight but it uses one AA easily available almost anywhere. I use it on my keychain so the provided string "lanyard" (think wrist strap) is useless to me. Seems to me they could include a small sturdy steel split ring for those who want to put it on their keychain. I say sturdy because not-sturdy was how I lost my previous flashlight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice to have the low-intensity setting Recently I purchased the E12, already owning the E11. I like the low-power level of the E12, which is often enough for my most common uses; sometimes the E11 was too bright on either setting. It is easy to switch to the brighter levels when necessary. The light fits easily into my pocket for use around the house, e.g., looking in the back of kitchen cabinets to see better the labels on cans/boxes, or searching in basement storage areas, or looking under the bed for something that fell on the floor!
