Rated 2 out of 5 by from Be Careful I bought this shirt in 2015 and I still love it! As mentioned in the other reviews, it is thick and quite warm. So I was very happy to save a little money during the REI sale and I bought 3 more. Unfortunately, Patagonia has gone cheap - this year's shirts are much thinner. The fit is fine, but they are not much better than the flannel shirts you can buy elsewhere for much less money (even at the sale price).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy, soft flannel with a classy look While searching for a 100% cotton flannel shirt in a brown hue, I came across this excellent shirt in the Java Brown / Fancy Chambray color. The material is thick, heavyweight, very soft and warm. The subtle, dark diagonal lines woven into the fabric give it an elegant look for urban adventures and hanging out with friends. This versatile color matches many pants colors. The fabric is sufficiently furry that it will probably pill up a bit unless hand washed and not tumble dried. I suppose that is a trade-off in getting such a lush and comfortable fabric in this weight. I am 5'11", 155lb. and got a medium. The fit is generous on my slightly lean frame, but not excessively baggy. I can use it as a main shirt or overshirt and the straight bottom hem makes it more versatile for wearing out or tucked in. This is my first Patagonia shirt and I will consider more in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty much the perfect flannel Had a couple of these over the last few years. They're super soft and durable, with a great look and fit. I'm 6'1, 195 and like to wear a Medium. The straight cut hem is nice, but I do wish the sleeves were just a half inch longer to allow for better range of arm movement, and to accommodate the very slight shrinkage. I don't want to size up because then the shirt is baggy everywhere else. Great plaids and colors this year too. Stock up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm & easy care Good, solid heavyweight flannel shirt from Patagonia! The fit is slim enough with some room for movement. It's just a bit short on a taller frame (I'm 6'3") but adequate for my needs. Comes out of the dryer ready to wear with no weird folds. Fast becoming my go-to weekend shirt in cooler weather.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very nice flannel, but not best value I bought this shirt just before the holidays. It's a very nice flannel, but at the sell price it's not a marked step above other common outside adventure brands. I guess a premium is paid for organic cotton, BUT it's still made in China which I did not realize. I'd expect the product to be made in the US. The fit is a bit frustrating too. Very "boxy" at the waste to the point where I had to purposely shrink the shirt. Could be tapered for a better fit. I am 6'2 210 lbs and bought a XL. Maybe a L would have worked better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Flannel Everything a flannel should be. The material is soft and warm. Can be used buttoned up or unbuttoned, as I prefer, with a nice tee underneath. Im 5'09 , 165 pounds, athletic build- medium size was spot on. I bit loose around the middle, but fitted throughout shoulder and arms. So far, I purchased 3 different colors for the cold season.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from His go to shirt for cool months Well made and organic cotton. Prefer this weight to the lighter one. My husband wears a merino underlayer with it and the size L fits him perfectly. He usually wears an XL in Icebreaker. Very comfortable. Patagonia has unusual and handsome plaid colours and design. Will continue buying them.

How much shrinkage are we looking at? The small fits well out of the box, but any shrink will make it tight. The medium is pretty baggy...will it shrink up? I'm 5'9, 155, athletic build.

Asked by: JohnJohnson
This shirt will shrink about a half size smaller. We recommend drying the shirt on a low heat.
