Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost Perfect These bibs are great. The drop seat is quick and easy, full side zips offer great ventilation, they're easy to get in and out of and the fit is good. They're a little big in the chest/stomach area but they're not bulky and the extra room allows for extra layers. The material is amazing; durable, waterproof, breathable, just as promised. They have nice gaiters to keep the snow out. The problem with these bibs (why they're getting 4 stars instead of 5) is that the pockets are ridiculous. There are two chest pockets that are tiny. I can fit my fingertips inside these pockets! It would be great if these pockets were deeper. I would like to be able to put snacks, my beacon, or something else that would be useful while touring in the backcountry. To add insult to injury, these miniature pockets are the only pockets on the bibs. Women need pockets too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you are Tall and ready to play hard!! These are the pants for you!!! I am 5'10" and around a size 6. A medium fits perfectly, There is enough room for insulated base layers with out appearing bulky. I recommend thermals underneath. If you looking for a ski pant that you can play hard in, the re enforced knees, powder cuffs, unbeatable Gore-Tex protection and the lace hooks have you covered for any type of activity. I also appreciate the full separating side zippers, this makes for any easy in, and out! As for the water and snow elimination, it doesn't get much better. The top part of the bib hits the middle of back just enough to eliminate any snow that wants to ride up. the suspenders are lay proportionally in the front, l still have room to adjust them shorter or taller. If your looking for a waterproof play hard ski pant that keeps the snow out! these are the pants for you!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome pant overall I'm part of a gear testing team program for GORE-TEX and have had these bibs for two seasons now. The looks, style, and fit since that's important to us all. I ordered a small size. I am 5'2", around 120 and have hips #36"#. I found that there is extra space in the bladder area that puff's out oddly. It makes sense to have it there for some body types but I think for most types, it's sort of odd. They are pretty long on me; they bunch a bit at the bottom where they sit over my ski boots. What I don't like about the length is when I'm wearing Sorrels, or another shoe, with them the cuffs drag and are getting worn. Because of the length and the bagginess, I have them hiked up more than most would so they don't sag on me. Make no mistake; I'm not swimming in them. They fit nice around my legs, hips, and torso width wise. I do have a short torso as well so the top of the bibs comes up higher. I frequently wear them with thick REI fleece running 'tights' and find it most comfortable whether or not it's spring or blizzard conditions. The beta above aside, they do look really nice on and have a slimming effect from the belt at the high waist and streamlined look. There are two small zippered pockets that are perfect for holding cash, ID, and card. I especially enjoy the elastic #not the cheap kind# cord with hook under the cuff for attaching to a boot/shoe. I fell on concrete and put a hole in them near the knee, a GORE-TEX patch kit worked very well over the area and I haven't had any problems yet with the patch. In Terms of function, I really love them for skiing. I never get snow down my back; I am NEVER wet, or even damp. I find I have great range of movement and am not restricted. They are NOT bulky and don't cause my base layers to ride up. The fabric is tough enough I haven't had problems with trees #those moments you snag a branch, ugh#. When having the top off and folded over your hips there aren't any problems with them sliding down either. While it can be hard justifying spending so much money on pants, if you are really into the outdoors, I would recommend them. Mostly because these make a great all around pant. Hiking, skiing, sledding, Christmas tree hunting #haven't taken them ice climbing#. If you take relatively good care of these they are going to last you for many years. I would also recommend really trying these on in the store and doing a lot of moving and jumping around.

Is there a specific size chart for this product? I would wear a M/L. I usually depend on the reviews but there are none for this product. Is a "M" a true medium size 6 or thereabouts?

Asked by: EmeraldEys
The link to the size chart for the Theta SV Bib Shell Pants is located to the right of the "select size" section on the page. A medium corresponds to a size 8-10. The pants do run true to size.

Has anyone worn these with a harness? Any pros or cons with the drop seat when nature calls? Is there a front zip? Any info on how they fit under gaitors?
