LOVE THESE BOTTLES, easy dishwasher clean
I have 4 of these bottles now, and I absolutely love them. I was able to increase my daily water intake to above the recommended amount for someone my weight, drinking water is more fun, and I can drink more easily with the squeeze bottles. Cleaning is NOT difficult at all. Just throw the cap and bottle into the dishwasher on a weekly basis and no mold will come close to growing. No idea why the other two guys had problems. The only negative is that on 1 out of 4 Podium Big Chills I own, the insulating sleeve on the INSIDE of the bottle is slipping down, and I have no way to fix it since the area in question is enclosed within the bottle. Picture will show what I'm talking about
Great product & value!
This bottle's real standout is its 25oz capacity and the jet valve, which works flawlessly. The bottle's insulation is comprised of a thin layer of foam within a double walled bottle. It definitely works better than a non- insulated plastic bottle. It kept my ice water chilled for 2 hours on a 90 degree day bike ride. If you want super insulation, like if you left the bottle in a hot car, you have to go with Camelbak's heavier metal insulated bottles at more the twice the price. But for an affordable lightweight bottle, it's a great value.
Great for golfing, too
I've been looking for a large capacity, wide mouth insulated water bottle that would fit in my Bag Boy golf cart drink holder and decided to order two of these to see it they would work--they fit perfectly! It's easy to fill with ice cubes and water and it keeps water chilled for a couple hours in 80 degree weather. Getting the nozzle off to clean it is a bit of a challenge so I don't think I'll be doing that every time.
Great cycling bottle
My fellow cyclists recommended this bottle to me. They all boasted of the ease of use, the powerful stream and overall best quality - and I've found all of their praise totally warranted. I most highly recommend this product for those cycling or doing other exercising.
Nice bottle for riding
I purchased this bottle in the hopes that it would fit my new water bottle cages, which are narrower than the last sets on my previous bike. Success! The more slender design means that the bottle fits in my cages, so I can reach down and drink cooler water while riding. The other bottle I use is an aluminum Sigg, and it's not convenient to drink while pedaling. Get the CamelBak Podium if you have the narrower plastic water bottle cages. If you have wider cages, CamelBak makes other styles that will fit.
Good, not great
I've used the Podium Big Chill bottles for over 2 years now. The best feature of the bottle is the jet valve nozzle. You get a lot of water and it doesn't leak. Next best feature is the wide-mouth lid. I can fit any size ice cubes in it. The bottles fit snugly in my standard holders - I use both the 25oz and 21oz. They both fit well and have never fallen out. I have to ding a star for the insulation, though, because it only slightly works better than standard water bottles for keeping water or sports drinks cold on warm rides. I compensate by putting a lot of ice cubes in it or freezing the bottle with 1/4 full of water.
Jet valve is amazing
This bottle never leaks or spills and I love it. The jet valve feature is awesome especially when I want a nice stream of water either in my mouth or on my head for hot days. So much better than other bottles.
Dissappointment
Having owned a couple Camelbak hydration packs and been very satisfied, when the time came to get water bottles for my bike I bought a couple. First off it is supposed to be insulated but it only keeps water cold marginally longer than a non insulated bottle. Second disappointment is today after my ride to work when I was taking the bottle out of my bottle cage it slipped out of my hand, hit the ground and the top of the bottle near the cap cracked. Keep in mind the water bottle cage is not very high off the ground. I will be taking this and the other back and getting something else.
I love it.
First I bought one from a bike shop. Then ordered from camelbak.com two bottles and mudflaps I call them. Now I have cold water and I'm not drinking mud with my water
this is one of the best bottles I've ever had
I just got this water bottle today and I already love it I like it that it's insulated but there was only one problem when I shake my water bottle the ice melts
