another excellent Arc'teryx product
Even though the fit is described as "trim", it is very good for someone like myself with broader shoulders in that the look is almost tailored. The material is awesome; this spent 12 days folded up in a suitcase and when I put it on - you couldn't tell. No creases or folds anywhere. So I imagine it will travel great for when you need a more formal-looking shirt that's also very comfortable and not out of place in a casual surrounding.

Awesome Shirt - Poor Durability
When I bought my first one of these, I was thrilled and bought five more. I wore them often, but very quickly the synthetic material they are made from began to pill up and snag. Any amount of recurring abrasion (backpack, trim fit jacket, tucking in the tails etc) on the surface will cause the fabric to produce tiny pills. You can remove most of these with a de-piller. But come on, de-pilling an Arc'Teryx shirt? The fabric loves to catch on things and run. It's really unfortunate. Breathability is great, wicking is great sun protection is great. It's like wearing nothing at all and very stlylish and supremely comfortable, though the arms are too long. But it's hard to keep loving a shirt that gets shabby-looking so quickly. I'd highly recommend this shirt if you're really not much of an outdoorsman.

The Best Shirt I have EVER bought!

No matter what clothes I have ever bought in the past, or how I pack them, my shirts crease. These shirts are UNBELIEVABLE! Not only is it nigh on impossible to crease them, they feel superb, and they are cut in a way that actually makes me look like I have a chiseled physique! I also love the fact that the buttons are poppers and hidden from the front of the shirt. Yes, they are pricey but by the time you have sent your dress shirts to the cleaners a few times, one could easily have spent more. If they had a black, I would have bought a few of them. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!

Best Shirt I Have Ever Owned!

I'm about to take it backpacking in Texas near Mexico which will give me an opportunity to try it in some hot weather which I'm confident it will be great! Also, I love the quality of the material, super smooth, super light for backpacking/travel, and looks great too! I've already gotten compliments on it at an area manager meeting today. Only thing that sorta is a downer would be the price but to be honest, this shirt is TOTALLY worth it!!! Enjoy it, I promise you'll love it.

Great hot weather shirt.

The fabric is amazing on my skin. The snaps feel cheap but are actually really good. Fit is rather loose, but that is good as air passes through fast if raining. You don't feel hot in direct sun with most long sleeves. This is a great shirt for trekking, flying little airplanes with no AC, and looking stylish. The issues- keep away from cats, front pocket is a joke, color likes to travel up with jacket. The long sleeve is sized different from the shirt sleeve. I wear a size smaller in the long sleeve for some reason. Be sure to use a smooth surface concealed handgun with this as fabric is a little delicate. These issues are negligible when compared to other long sleeves.

Amazing from trail to fine dining...

...and ready for next day to do it all over again. I am confident saying this is the most practical travel shirt ever made. Buttery soft finish, great drape, athletic performance and elegance together without compromise. A bit pricey but so well worth it - from hiking to classy affairs this shirt can do it all and come out of a washer or a suitcase without a wrinkle.

Bad idea to add the zipper

I have the older version and was hoping to buy it in a different color. I dislike the zipper in this new version so much that I will not buy it. It ruined the shirt. Please bring back the old design. Furthermore, please add a few more colors (maybe something in the burgundy range?). And please consider removing the logo from the back because like the shirt a lot and I wear it in casual every day situations. The shirt looks so good (the old version, not the current one with the zipper) that you don't need a logo. People will ask for the brand. Minor comment for the old version, for me, size S, the sleeves were a bit long. Looking forward to you going back to the old version.

Almost Perfect....

These shirts are nearly perfect. A few details would bring these puppies to 5 stars. 1. Can we get gun metal / black color snaps? The silver feels really generic. On the darker colors the silver snaps are a bit off putting. With the "24" rivet in black, perhaps a DTM finish on the snaps would bring it full circle. 2. When using laundry pods the polyester picks up on the soap / residue left behind if it's not 100% liquid. This is a bummer and results in a double wash or having to hand wash those areas. 3. Can we get a Nylon blend version? While the shirt is light weight, the Polyester gets funky and warm in hotter climates. 4. Flawless fit - Never change it!!!!

Pricey But Sharp

I am 6' 3" 205 lbs and bought the XL which fits perfectly as a layer over a t-shirt except for sleeve length. Fit overall is true except sleeves were a bit long. Like the trim body fit and the technical material (no ironing!). Bought the graphite color which is a nice faded black. This is a 3 season shirt only. Too lightweight to bother with in winter. Wish they had more colors.

Nicer fit than previous version

I'm new to the Skyline shirt and ordered both the new one, and the previous revision in black. The new revision was for me a slightly tighter, better fit. While the zipper on the pocket looks a bit out of place, I think it's better than the cheesy 'polygon' look of the previous revision. I won't use the pocket anyway, so for me it would be fine as is, but as an open pocket without the zipper. The new plastic buttons feel lighter, and a whole lot safer to use, with no fear of tearing anything. You can easily undo the buttons by just pulling the shirt open (It's oddly satisfying!). It's also great that the buttons are now black, so if they show, they don't visually stand out.
