Somewhat comfortable

I know "somewhat comfortable" isn't a great endorsement. These shoes were super comfy when I tried them on for a few minutes in the store, but when I actually rode my bike with them on I noticed that they are very stiff around the ankle. They rubbed on my ankles almost to the point of rubbing a raw spot on each ankle. :-( The rest of the shoe is good; the toe box was comfortable and the sole was comfy enough for a little bit of walking around. I've only worn them once for a 20 mile ride. Hopefully the ankle area will soften up a bit.

Wider toe box than most

My previous cycling shoes were squeezing my toes too much. I'm a big fan of the "natural foot shape" trend (Altra, for example) and really needed some cycling shoes with more room. But since Altra doesn't make cycling shoes, and those that do haven't seemed to embrace this philosophy yet, it's been a tough search. I saw these recommended on a message board of folks looking for wider toe-box cycling shoes. They were on sale here so I went for it. I'm glad I did. These are much roomier than what I had and I'm happy with them. The uppers seem a bit stiff, but I think they'll soften after more use. They are still not "natural foot shape", but I think it's the best I can find for now, and since I'm not wearing them all day, just for cycling, it will work out fine. (I have wide-ish feet to start with, and a decent bunion on one foot, making that one wider still.) Very happy to have found these!

Great shoe. It was a little difficult to get on the bike pedals, but with practice, I was able yo master it. Took me about eight spin classes before the shoes were broken in. Great buy!

Needed bike shoes and these were on sale

I bought these because they were on sale and I've been having a hard time finding a pair of mountain bike shoes that I like. The sizing is accurate. These are a little more narrow than I like but they don't pinch. They're nice and stiff. I would prefer more tread because I do a lot of hike-a-bike. What I don't like is that the top lace hooks push into my foot if the tongue shifts to the side (and it always pushes to the side). Overall they're a decent shoe. If I had bought these full price I would have returned them but for what I paid I didn't want to spend the money on shipping them back.

comfortable cycling shoe

I cycle short rides (10-12 miles) almost every day. I needed a good shoe that was good for my type of cycling and also easy to walk in. These work perfectly for me. I have a hard to fit (short and wide, high instep) foot. I was really happy with the fit.

Love These!

These shoes are fantastuc, they are incredibly comfortable and unlike almost all of the other choices out there...these are actually cute! The laces allow me to adjust wherever needed and the one thing I can honestly say is that I did not need to break them in, the were perfect from day one. I did have to go up a size so I'm glad I was able to try them on before purchasing them.

Great Shoes!

Wide, light and breathable. Even after breaking little toe, can ride over 50 miles, and it won't go numb or hurt! Stiff sole helps pedaling.

Comfortable. Good function.Affordable.Breathable.

These have a slightly wide toe box, so I found them to be very comfortable. They are a bit more heavy duty that what I expected but they are a mountain bike shoe. They were a good fit. Many of the Pearl Izumi brand shoes were too tight on my feet but not these.

too big...based on earlier reviews.

bought these to ride on flats and like the ability to convert to spd once I am comfortable mountain biking clipped in. However, I went up from my normal 41 to a 42 and way too big. Plus, I felt the bottoms didn't have enough grip on my flats. My old cross trainers seemed better so I am returning t hem.
