Works great, until it doesn't. Lost keys.

The plastic wedge is great until it pops off without notice (and its soft plastic, its silent when it happens).... then your keys are lost. This has happened twice to me. I hoped it was a freak accident, but these can only hd form for a year or two and you'll find the metal S and latches completely free to open and close at will. If the lock was metal they'd have a winner. As is, it's a nightmare waiting to happen.

Security Pack Repair

During travels, I washed my current day pack/hand bag. Besides the RFID-blocking fabric, it has security features, namely the zipper-pulls, that somehow lodged inside the laundromat dryer, became annealed, and tempered to cool themselves out of shape. Being that trying the same method of distortion for a repair did not accomplish rectifying the problem, I opted to buy a new fastener. Thank heaven for REI carrying this tiny accoutrement. For me and my off-beat ergonomics, the purse repair became an upgrade.

Great product

Wonderful product. I use these on my keychain and on my backpack zipper pulls. They're nice to add additional keys/keyrings to things, or to clip zippers or pulls together. I love 'em!

dog tags

I bought this for my cocker spaniel"s tags because I like to change his collar and split rings are so difficult to use. I really like it, but I would love it if it was a bit shorter in length. If he was any smaller it wouldn't work for him.

exciting/practical/durable products

First off, Nite Ize is one of my favorite companies. I could talk about this company all day. I love the S biners. Especially the small ones with microlock feature. I have a Paracord necklace with an s-biner microlock to hook my phone or wallet to. Nite Ize makes the best biners, hands down. The Flip out phone stand I've had on my phone for about 4 or 5 years, and its still on there. I've had to replace the 3m tape of course, but the product is the best phone stand period. I've also got the small pocket sized flashlight, and it's my favorite light. I could list much more items, but you get the idea. Nite Ize is truly an awesome company that delivers some really awesome products.

Dog Proof

I can't tell you how many times we had to search for dog tags after our 3 large beasts had played their version of monkey in the middle. Before these little dudes they routinely tore them off each other and left the straightened metal rings dangling. These small locking devices are strong enough to be dog proof without being dorky looking or big enough to be targets for each other. We have been using them now for about two months with a zero fail rate. Nice product!

Quick security solution for travel bags

These are lockable micro-'biners. I use them to lock the tabs of my carryon luggage together to discourage casual pilfering. They won't stop anyone willing to invest the time in how they unlock, since these don't use a key, but operate on the same principle as Pacsafe: if you can make a thief fumble, they will move on to an easier target.

Nifty!

Tiny little biners that feature a nifty locking mechanism. Pretty simple, it just rotates to wedge itself at the gate so it can't swing inward. Not quite large enough to hook onto pant loops very easily, but if you need a more secure way of holding your jangly bits it's quite nice.

Amazing tiny bit of security

Used this to lock my zipper pulls to each other while traveling in Paris and London. Yes I was still aware of my belongings but my bags were slightly harder to get into, even for me! But I'll take it, knowing that my zipper can't be quickly/easily undone.
