Great vest! Great fit!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a similar vest from Columbia that I love, and I also bought one for my mom and she loved it so much, that I decided to buy more this season. I live in S FL and it doesn't get too cold here but my husband and I travel to colder places and this vest is perfect! Plus my mom lives in the mountains, so for her it's even better. I like the design and the choice of colors. I like how it keeps my back warm and molds around my body. Another great feature is that the outside pockets have zippers, so you don't have to worry about losing your keys or your phone. It's very soft, lightweight, and easy to pack. Definitely recommend it to my friends and family!
Weird Puckering
Bought this vest a year ago & decided I’d like to have another. When the vest arrived & I tried it on it had weird puckering, most notably by the ‘Columbia’ tag. I thought maybe if I washed it, it would solve the problem. It did not. I’m very disappointed, as I love my other one so much!! I won’t be sending back because I washed it. I will just use it on camping trips.
This is the third vest I've purchased
I love this vest and in fact, I purchased this for my mom who was using mine. She actually likes to wear it around the house in the winter and then uses it to go out in the cool days of fall. There are no sleeves to get in the way of her work, but it keeps her shoulders warm. The only issues I have with this vest is that it is hard to find. For some reason no store in my area that sells Columbia was carrying them this year or maybe they were out by late January when I wanted one. Also, ordering was more expensive than buying it in the store. Also, why don't you offer petites for shorter women? My mom is 5' 1" tall and the vest is a tad long.
Think about ordering two sizes down...
I really like this vest for 3-season wear over a long or short sleeved T in central NC, and under a light jacket in winter. Great colors, really soft. Wish it were a little longer (or scooped) and had a "princess seam fitting," for a more feminine, not tight, fit. The Medium I ordered had 4 inches extra to grab down the sides (I'm a 38 chest) so I reordered two sizes down figuring on an extra 3-4 inches---It's cut very wide and boxy, and has about 1/2 inch stretch to it, so consider that when ordering: what you wear it over and what fit you like. The price/quality are good, so I will make a little compromise in the style and just order smaller.
The perfect winter vest.
I absolutely love these vests! This is my third purchase of these as I wear them at work everyday so that will tell you how great they are. They are great for keeping your core warm while keeping your arms free and you’re comfortable all day. They’re great for blocking the cutting winds outside when doing a quick chore outdoors as well. They’re very easy to care for. I wash and dry them in my regular laundry with the zipper done up and have no issues. I can see these lasting me for a long time. I’ve also bought vests and jackets made from this fabric for family members as Christmas gifts that I know they’ll enjoy as much as do.
Stylish comfort
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this vest. I’ve purchased a total of 19 Columbia vests, jackets, and T-shirt’s for myself and as gifts for my friends and family. All of the products have been of great quality. I finally got smart and discovered that this website offered larger sizes. (I require a 2X or 3X) my recent purchase was the navy fleece vest. I was hoping it would be a darker shade of navy, but it doesn’t seem to be even as dark as the one pictured. It’s still a nice shade of blue. As always, it offered optimal comfort at a very reasonable price. I will always buy Columbia products. I would like to see more plaid options in the larger women’s sizes.
Product Size Inconsistent
This is a nice vest and I have three I previously purchased and wear all the time. It wears well and washes up nicely. I have two in size 2x and one in size 3x that I purchased at a local store. I decided to check online for one in a different color. I was excited to find the same vest in multiple colors. I ordered a 3x, but when I tried it on, it was smaller than the size 2x and 3x I previously purchased. Columbia is such a nice quality, so I was disappointed that the sizing wasn't consistent. The size may have been marked incorrectly on this particular vest, but I will not take a chance in ordering another one due to the high cost for return shipping.
Cirrus Grey Heather
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Be warned: if you’re looking for a darker heather grey color, the Cirrus Grey Heather looks NOTHING like the picture. In reality, the zipper is the exact same color as the super light grey heather vest that it actually is. I was highly disappointed with this color option but decided to keep it because the fit and quality are awesome. I needed a looser fitting vest for layering as it’s now in the 40-20 degree zone throughout the days here in Seattle, and this vest serves its purpose. The zippered hand pockets are a superb bonus, as well. Four stars for quality, definitely not for the falsely displayed color option, though.
Women’s Fleece Vest
I have been a long-time Columbia customer and enjoy wearing several items of their clothing. The Columbia clothing I’ve purchased in the past has always been made with quality fabric and careful craftsmanship. However this white fleece vest is a disappointment. One zipper pocket is set higher than the other and it “pouches” at the top. The armholes are also sewn differently from my other Columbia fleece vest (purchased 2 years ago) and the fabric puckers around both armholes as well. When this item arrived, I contacted Columbia with details....still no response from their care team. I wouldn’t recommend buying the women’s fleece vest until improvements are made.
All vests are made the same... not
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've relied on a trusty old fleece vest from another outdoor company for over a decade now, and finally made my move on this item when winter sales began this year. Couldn't choose a color, so went for both olive green and dark nocturnal. Size S (my frame: 5'5", 130 lbs). Impressed! Not only with the softness and the stylishness, but also with the actual colors. They're lovely. Nocturnal is staying with me, with all my blue-greys in the wardrobe; olive went to a friend who's got green eyes, and it's a match. The friend is both taller and thinner than I am, and she is happy with the S as well, just FYI.
