Features

  • Weighing only 52g and with a breaking strength of 22kN, the SMC CRx Crevasse Rescue pulley is lightweight yet very strong, making it ideal for alpine climbers and mountaineers
  • Compact pulley fits easily in a pocket or can be clipped to your climbing harness so it's ready for an emergency
  • A great choice for setting up 2:1 C-systems and 3:1 Z-systems for hauling a fallen climber out of a crevasse
  • Base design keeps a prusik knot from jamming in the pulley when you're hauling; works well with prusik cord up to 8mm in diameter
  • Solid side plates prevent objects that could cause a snag from entering the pulley
  • SMC CRx Crevasse Rescue pulley accommodates ropes up to 13mm in diameter
  • Not suitable for use in a Tyrolean traverse

What a perfect peice.

I use these pulleys everyday in my line of work. SMC products are no-frills workhorses, every last one of them. SMC has a strong following in the rope-access world. I would love to see them make the move into recreational climbing, i.e sport gate D's. This pulley is excellent in every way, from the craftsmanship to the reliability. It's called a CR because of its strength rating but I use it on my ascender and a pair in case of emergency. Well done SMC keep it up!

Great, light weight, inexpensive pulley

Inexpensive, lightweight, strong, prusik minding, smooth running rescue pulley. Perfect if you need to set up a 3:1 system for crevasse or other rescue. Solidly constructed. Smoother running than the CAMP or Petlz pulleys and much cheaper than the Petzl too, plus it is made in Washington State. I use two for glacier travel or to practice rescue system rope set ups.

Plastic Wheel Broke

Bought this to walk down a large single line kite rated for 1200 lb line, and the plastic wheel broke. Glad I noticed before it cut the line.

Awesome pulleys! Super smooth, SMC is awesome.

I needed a couple pulleys to rig a multiplier system to tension my slackline and these were recommended to me. I already own some SMC gear so I knew their stuff was made very well. For the price point these things are sweet! Super smooth, not squeaky at all, and works wonders for tensioning my slackline pulley system.

Excellent small pulley

I'm a tower climber and purchased one of these pulleys to pull myself back up when hanging below booms. Its small size and light weight make it ideal for the task. I've been very pleased with it.

Drift boat anchor pulley

As a drift boat anchor pulley it’s perfect. I bought a couple more as backups and to use in a z-drag system if the occasion arises, as well as for any other more traditional uses.

Big tuff yet small and light

best buy for your buck handling man sized loads. I like a thick flipline and this easily fits over it to tend prusik.

I used this pulley to raise and lower suitcases over to a second floor over a rail while on vacation. The hotel did not have an elevator. It worked perfectly
