Best energy chews yet!
I have tried so many kinds. These are the best. You forget almost that they are not infact amazing square gummy bears. I have only tried strawberry and raspberry. The raspberry, while flavorful, was a little too sweet for me. The strawberry is close to perfect. I had my very best run after eating these and whether that was the training or the magic of square gummy energy is just not for me to say. :-)
Great product
I purchased these for an Ultra race I ws running in order to have something different in my food supplies. I was pleasantly surprised how easy to chew they were along with the great flavor. I used all of the flavors throughout the 21 hour race and never tired of them. The energy boost they gave me was great and the fact that they are gluten free was a life saver for my stomach. These will now become a staple in my racing prep
Yummy
I was skeptical when it came to these. I expected your traditional energy chews (cliff shotBloks) where the texture just isn't quite right and they don't taste great, but these changed my mind. The pink lemonade actually tasted like pink lemonade (delicious). They are a little bit firmer and less sticky than other energy chews I've tried which I actually really like. These are going to be my new go to energy snack.
Tasty and effective!
I tried these for the first time this weekend on a several mile hike in hot, humid Florida. I started feeling bad about halfway through (lots of sun, little breakfast) and gave these a shot, they were the perfect pick-me-up. They're sweet without being overbearing and work quickly. I'm also very caffeine sensitive and really appreciate that the orange and strawberry flavors are caffeine-free. My only complaint is that they're little rectangles and for some silly reason I was expecting them to be shaped like fruit. Overall, I'll definitely be buying these again. Great product!
Tasty and lasts for a while
I bought this to keep in the car as an emergency snack if I get caught on an Alaska road during a closure or such. I have been able to keep it in the glove compartment for a number of months at a time and the product still tastes good. Also, if I don't have water, it doesn't dry my throat out trying to eat them. I am glad the product doesn't have any caffeine in it.
False advertising on the product
Loaded with electrolytes? Not true at all. And a false and potentially dangerous promise to anyone who buys this product for any type of extreme adventure. I added this product to my kit for a recent hike up Mt San Jacinto, which included a long stretch without any access to water. So I carried (and drank) 4 liters of water, and was planning on these energy chews to supplement my hydration and keep my electrolytes in balance, instead of using Nuun or Gatorade powder or something that could make my hydration bladder sticky.. It wasn't until halfway up the mountain that I realized that my chews had only 15 mg of sodium (1% of the RDA) and 0 mg of potassium. Fortunately, I had plenty of other salty snacks to prevent hyponatremia. However, a product that advertises electrolytes on its wrapper should have more than a token amount of salt to make that claim.
Chewy Love
I love these! They were recommended by one of the staff, and I could not have been happier with the results. I was training for a half marathon and had a bad experience with a different product, and BOLT chews fixed the problems. I like the fact that they are chews instead of a goop type consistency, and that is better for when I am running. And they TASTE GREAT! I cannot stress that enough. Most energy chews taste terrible, but they are doing something right.
My favorite quick energy boost....
Strawberry! This is my favorite energy boost especially when coming back down a mountain when you're feeling tired. Great tasting, chewy snack. Easy to pull out of the pack--still chewable )and able to pull apart) when in freezing conditions. Worth the $$...
