- Brick quilting pattern and horizontal quilted side panels with abrasion-resistant thread stabilize insulation for more durability as an outer layer and lower bulk under shells
- A slightly reshaped fit compared to past iterations and a longer body length offer easier layering
- Improved shoulder and armhole fit provide greater mobility and comfort
- Center-front zipper has a wicking interior storm flap and a zipper garage at the chin for next-to-skin comfort

Great vest, sizing off

I recently sold this same vest in size S and previously purchased at REI, to Patagonia Worn Wear. It was too small to wear a sweater under, so only long sleeved tees or thin flannels would fit comfortably. I ordered the same vest again in a M, and am still debating whether to keep it. It much more generously sized, but sizing up from a S to a M has a much looser and longer fit, feeling and looking more like a size L. I have other Patagonia vests, all size S, that fit perfectly. I realize that different Patagonia styles may fit differently, but in this vest, the S is too small and the M is too big. The quality is excellent, as with all of my Patagonia vests and jackets. In this particular vest, the sizing is the issue.

I have owned it in white for several years. It gets lots of wear and has been washed probably 50 times. Still good. Decided I needed it in black. I love it for hiking, golf, and when I need light weight warmth.

They ruined this line. Everything about this version is bigger and longer. Longer sleeves and longer body. The XXS fits really big. The last version fits perfect. For reference, I’m 4-10” and 95 lbs.
