Made all the difference.
For the past two years, I've been having problems with cramping and nausea on longer bike rides (around 80-100 miles). I'm a heavy sweater and figured that it was a hydration problem. Drinking more water and electrolyte mixes just wasn't doing it though. At about 70 miles (or shorter on hot or humid days) I started to get nauseous and sometimes would cramp up. Took the SaltStick capsules on a ride today, popped one every 45 minutes to an hour, and felt great for the whole ride. Finished strong with no cramping or nausea. Can't believe what a difference they made. I'd highly recommend them if you've have simlar issues.
Necessary Electrolytes
Saltstick is by far my favorite electrolyte supplement. It is perfect for those long hot rides or even some longer races. I take a few the night before and the morning of bigger events. It is nice to see I should be able to find this product at my local REI or online. Cramps are no fun and I even find that taking a couple once cramps or light-headedness come on help assist ridding those nusances. Although there are no calories, sometimes I just need that boost in electrolytes and caffeine to turn a long bike ride into a more enjoyable experience.
Helped me for a long run
I used these for a 27 mile endurance technical trail run/hike. I took 1 every 45 min and I was able to avoid any muscle cramps over the 8+ hours. I'm 5'9" 175# I also drank lots of water and some gatoraid as it was fairly humid and around 80 deg temps. I did not use these for a road marathon in the spring and did have issues with my quads cramping up. It was a very different race but I believe these electrolyte tabs would have helped me. I did use the caffinated version with no issues.

The whole crew takes these to stay ahead of the salt loss curve when we're fighting fires. The salt plus keep me going on long night shifts. A must have for extended endurance events like working a long day in the mountains.
Saved Me from Nausea
A fellow hiker on the trail saw me struggling after becoming sick from an electrolyte imbalance during backpacking. She gave me one of these pills. Within about 10 minutes, I felt a million times better. The nausea disappeared and my energy was back. I can't wait to take more on my next backpacking trip.
Reduces cramping during Spartan Races
Been having issues with cramping during racing until a friend recommended this product. Last race went great!!!
Excellent for OCR's
I bought a couple of single serve packs last year to test them out and they are a lifesaver when doing my Spartan Races. I swear by these now for cramp prevention and always carry them on course and have them for fellow racers that are in need.
Just get the regular kind
I'd prefer the non caffeine version, got these just to compare, I never noticed any type of effect from caffeine (I'm a non-coffee, non-caffeine person in general) and the regular SaltSticks have a lot more benefits
Positive effect
My first time to try these since recommended by fellow hikers. I tried them for my last backpacking trip and they seemed to help overall. I'll keep trying especially going up in elevations.
Best thing since water
We use these when we hike and also working. They keep us feeling hydrated when we are sweating on hot days.
