Purchased for road cycling. As I often leave early and also have a few quite shady routes, the photochromatic lenses are appreciated. No need to swap lenses. The lenses do not get overly dark, but seem to darken just enough to see comfortably in bright sun. They fit my fairly large face well. They are advertised as being adjustable fit, but there are not instructions on adjustment. I have only had to make slight "tweaks" to the fit by gently bending the temples. They are very light, comfortable, and stay on, even when perspiring. They seem to be a very good value.

Lenses are nice, Frames are not great

Hi - I bought these with the clear lenses to use while mountain biking to avoid getting poked in the eye with a branch. The lenses are nice, however I noticed these glasses on my face to the point where they were distracting which is unlike any other sport sunglasses I own. My $25 Goodr sunglasses are invisible to me while I’m wearing them. Several times while zooming down a trail I had to fix or adjust these glasses because they simply did not stay in place. Also the general shape of the frames put them in my field of vision regularly. I would not recommend these for activewear.

These sold me on biking sunglasses

I used to wear just regular sunglasses while biking. Boy was I missing out!! These photochromic glasses are incredible, changing the lens darkness continuously during your ride. Going through a forested darker area? The lenses lighten. Going thorough full sun exposed road? The lenses darken. This is a game changer. I found the darkening range to be perfect for my rides, from morning ones where they are essentially clear to afternoon when the lenses are quite dark. Basically the only riding these aren’t good for is nighttime. The fit and ventilation are both excellent, with no issues of fogging or sweat accumulation.

Best glasses purchase

Absolutely thrilled with these glasses! They are the best glasses I have ever gotten for a variety of reasons. I have very sensitive eyes/dry eye, so even a bit of wind sustained over the duration of a walk or run can wreak havoc on my eyes. At the same time though, I hate wearing sunglasses since they seem to "dim" the surrounding environment. These glasses are fantastic as even in full sun, there is only a very slight change to the appearance of the environment compared to no glasses. I also love the changing tint of the glasses since I can still use them on a cloudy/windy day, simply to keep my eyes more comfortable.

Great Glasses for Dawn to Dusk Rides and MTB

I’ve been very pleased with these glasses. I had other Tifosi glasses that while I liked them the lenses cracked and the nose pieces fell off. So far these have not scratched and the nose piece is held in place with screws. I don’t have a big face and was concerned they would be designed for men’s larger faces, however, they fit me nicely and stick to my nose and my temples. I like the clear glass as I find it gives me a better view and I’ve been pleased with the photochromic response as I ride from full sun to dusk. I’ve found them much better suited to mountain biking with the variety of light than other glasses I’ve worn.

Great for night riding, but often fog up

I bought these for my bike commute both at night and during the day in winter since otherwise my eyes will tear up in the winter wind and I can't see very well. To that end they work very well during both night and day. However, they do tend to fog up if I wear a balaclava over my face, which defeats the purpose of wearing the glasses to block cold wind since either way I can't see well. They are vented at the corners to avoid this issue, but apparently they need more venting than that if you're wearing a facemask. When I don't fully cover my mouth with the balaclava, though, I have no fogging issues.

Look great, work great and reasonably priced!

I was looking for a pair of glasses with Photochronic lenses for bike riding. These were to replace a $200 pair I had lost. I found the Tifosi's on the REI site and found them to be as good as the $200 pair, but better looking than the pricier pair. They are very light and the transition change in the lense is perfect. Never have to change my lenses or worry if I have the right ones in for the day ahead. Particularly good for longer rides where the light conditions change a lot over 5 to 6 hours on a bike.

Great winter and all-year sunglasses

I have struggled in recent years with my vision adjusting from light to shadow on road and trail riding. These lenses are the perfect solution. They are not sufficient in severe glare, but I would rather skip the polarized heavy tint in order to avoid that low hanging branch in shadows. In addition, they are perfect for rides on the shorter days of winter when dusk hits before 6. I can keep the eye protection on into the darkness. They are comfortable and do not slide on my big fat head too.

Good, but not perfect multisport "sun"glasses

I hoped these would be the one pair of sunglasses I would ever need for cycling, running, and nordic skiing across a range of conditions. They are exceptionally clear, grip well, and protect my eyes from wind, rain, dirt, and most of the time, the sun. For my blue eyes however, they are not enough for bright, direct sunlight and situations with lots of glare. I still need to bring my polarized Smith Parallels (which I'd hoped to replace) for those conditions. All in all though, a great value and no regrets.

Best all around

I bought my 2nd pair today. These are great for riding any hour of the day. When day rides become night rides, I still have eye protection. The photochromic properties have lasted several years so far. And they're not too dark in the daylight - just right. They don't fog up. Adjustable at the nose and the temples for a perfect fit.
