I had difficulty paying so much for glorified twist ties, but they seemed so practical I finally tried them out knowing REI would let me return the item if I wasn't satisfied. Now I don't know how I ever lived without them. Their uses are endless and from what I can see they should survive quite a lot of use and abuse. Where I had used parachute cord in short lengths to secure an item and discard the cord later I now use a Nite Ize GearTie that I can reuse instead. Velcro wrap or elastic band for the sleeping mat that always wears out, swapped it for a GearTie that won't. Power cord in the camper we're always moving around, now I can stow the extra power cable easily over and over again. Bend and shape, BAM! stand for the iPad. So many other uses. Buy them and try not act like a kid with a new toy.
Convenient ties
I use these ties for anything from tying up small cables with the shortest ties, to holding my skis together or my yoga mat with the longer ones. They are durable and easy to use, which makes them worthwhile for all kinds or organization.

I got my first set at the Modern Marine Expo at Quantico several years ago. Since then I have used them to hold down four 25# weights that hold down my vendor tent at several different farmers markets. They work better than just about anything that I have tried before.

Perfect for Attaching Shade Cloth
Bought the GearTie Original 32 inch x 2 pack at Lowes and cut them into 2.5 inch lengths to attach shade cloth to the interior of my FarmTek 12 x 16 greenhouse. They fit perfectly into the rail slots (where the bolts usually go) and the ribbed outside and wire interior made them hold fast. I can pull on the shade cloth and they pop right out when I want to roll back the shade cloth. No more problems with wind, tears , sagging or using bolts to hold the cloth in place. Will buy more for their intended use too.

These are the best cable tie's that I have ever purchased. I knew something was up when the display case only had one set left, so I bought it and I'm glad I did. I like the fact that they don't scracth your wooden furniture. Because this product is so good, everybody is buying them and they are in short supply around here. My next purchase will be from your website, to make sure that I get what I need. Once again a very great product!

These look like they’ll be perfect for what my son bought them for me for, but please define “rubber.” I have an allergy to latex, aka natural latex rubber. Too many companies, including yours, are just slapping a “Rubber” label with no clarification whether it’s natural latex rubber or silicone “rubber.” Please clarify so we know whether I can safely use them or if they’re for other family members to use.

Nite Ize gear ties simply get the job done! The versatility of this product is incredible! I've been using the same set of gear ties for over six months for all sorts of things in the south Florida heat, cold Georgia camping, even salt water fishing in the islands and my gear ties look and perform like new! I've used these to tie up extension cords and garden hoses, but I think my niece showed me how useful they are for busy moms. She has 1 1/2 year old twin boys, who are very curious and can use their little hands to open everything. She used the rubber twist to tie to "shut" the cabinet doors since a regular baby cabinet lock wouldn't work. Items stored in the cabinet are safe from them!
