Versatile Skort

Really liking this skort. Not too short, not too long. I can wear it all day without it riding up or sagging down. I've been wearing it over tights for hiking. Fabric cleans up well and doesn't snag or crease or bunch up. The only negatives are just nitpicky kind of things- I don't like the snap button closure- I think snaps in general add bulk and are a lot harder to fix than a regular button if it starts acting up. The inside drawstring is ridiculously long and too stretchy to really hold anything in place.

Inner shorts feel like they ride up

I would like these shorts EXCEPT that the inner boy-shorts constantly feel like they are riding up, which drives me crazy. I think they are actually supposed to ride up slightly, but that feeling of having fabric bunched up between my thighs just doesn't seem comfortable to me. Other than that, the skirt is nice. The material is a little thick, which makes the skirt seem hot in Texas heat. But it's an attractive skirt that could be used for everything from hiking to going out to dinner. The photo makes it look like the fabric around the zipper is bright, almost white, but it isn't. The fabric around the zipper is dark green, just like the rest of the skirt. Unfortunately, the zipper is pretty obvious, so I can't wear this skirt to work; it looks too much like a hiking skirt for that. Overall, I would say the skirt is OK; I just wish the boy shorts wouldn't ride up.

Perfect for travel

I took this to Japan for a two week trip in June. It was so comfortable and cute. Did get a bit wrinkled in my suitcase.

Super comfortable and durable.

I bought this a few months ago and have worn the heck out of it. Launder it on cold and line dry and it's wearing beautifully. Have hiked full days in it without rubs or irritation. Bought the 10 and it fits like a glove. I"m 5'6" and 145 lbs. for reference. The pull tie inside is a little on the long side, but I don't find that not to be an issue. Seriously thinking about buying a second just to always have one available to wear.

Nice skort

This skort is well made and it does run a bit snug and I am hoping it will stretch out a bit while wearing it. If you have some muffin top then I would suggest you go up a size. I got the black color and it is opaque; very light weight and very comfy. The short length is 17" and the attached shorts underneath are shorter and do not ride up and do not stick out from under the skirt. I really wish Columbia would write the lengths (how many inches long) their skorts, shirts, and dresses are as it would take the guess work and hassle out when ordering. Can be dressed up alittle or down. This skort is less expensive than the LL Bean brand skorts.

Weird waistline

I specifically ordered this skort because it has a drawstring waist. I'm pretty thin, and it seems like everything is too big in the waist for me. The problem is the two points of the drawstring are several inches apart, not close together where it buttons as you would expect. So if you need to draw it up to tighten the waist, it pouches out in the front. Plus the string cut rather uncomfortably into the abdomen. Major design flaw to me, I sent it back. Also note, I usually wear a size 4 but ordered a 6 based on other reviews that it ran small. It does. Even the 6 was rather snug through the derriere, with the waist being overall bigger.

Runs slightly small

I have the Just Right Straight leg pants in Size 4 short but had to size up to Size 6 in the skirt for the same fit. Very comfortable.

Another winner from Columbia

My new favorite hiking piece! All the stretch you could want in a cool, comfortable, lightweight, easy to clean fabric. I'm 5'3", 115 lbs and bought it in a size 4 - fits great thanks to the addition of the drawstring. I purchased the REI Northway skort a few months back, and comparing the two I like the Columbia better because it has more flexibility and stretch and the shorts are a lighter fabric.

Great skort!

Love this skort! It has great fabric and washes well. Comfortable shorts too. I'm going to order the grey color too. Wish this came in fun colors for summer or even in khaki. Black can get really hot in the summer.

Perfect Skort

Love almost everything about this skort, would like more pockets but than again the pockets might ruin the flattering fit. Easy to move in, great fabric that allows you move in the skort. Thinking about ordering the other color.
