Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great looking, less functional I loved the look of this fleece, and I was looking to replace a much older REI fleece in similar colors. I still love the way it looks but living with it for a while has exposed its limitations. There's no pocket, for example, and no chin guard at the top. The fleece is very thin (you can see through it) and not very warm, nor is it windproof. It's more like a fleece shirt than a sweater. That said, my disappointment is more that there are fewer situations in which I can wear it, because it looks great--the color blocking and exposed stitching make it fit right in with the Kuhl aesthetic. Buy it for looks, not for warmth.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stylish but.. PartDavid's review is spot on. Where I live the winters aren't bone cold so this 1/4 zip fleece keeps me warm if I wear a t-shirt underneath. I think it would be ineffective in a very cold climate. I expected it to be as thick as Kuhl's Stovepipe fleece pullover but it's not even close. Despite these negatives, it's a stylish pullover and I have received lots of compliments. Not sure of the durability - of course, only time will tell.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for tall people It's a great looking top, but it has a few fatal flaws. First the quality of the fleece is very poor for the price. It's very thin. This is something you wear on a early fall day, not in the midst of a Chicago winter. And then there's the size length problem...I am 6'1" and ordered the XXL. The sleeves are just fine, but the top is nowhere close to being long enough in the torso. I don't often wear this out because it shows my undershirt. If you offer XXL, you need to adjust the size in all dimensions -- not just for girth, but length, too.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great look, but poor quality I boght two of these becase it fits me well and looks very good (I have a slim built). Unfortunately, had to return the black one three times, becasue the two shoulders are not evenly cut. This sweater works like a fuzz duster in the dryer, it needs to be hand washed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Product Kuhl makes a great fitting quality product. This is an excellent solution for taller frames -- the large size has plenty of length in the sleeves. It is also very stylish - I received four compliments the first day on a plane flight back to Arizona. It's expensive, but worth it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent fit and warmth Love this fleece - goes everywhere with me during the winter in Minnesota. Very comfortable, and excellent top layer for winter camping, hiking, and snowshoeing. Also nicely designed. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite top Its a nice design and is casual and looks good. I wish REI had more variety of these tops.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for cool CA winter mornings & evenings. Not a heavy insulator. Breathes well and does not stop the wind from getting through (cuts it down a bit though), and that is exactly what I was looking for. Runs fairly trim through the body, no bulk. I love the style of this thing. Mens L fits great (5'-9" about 185lbs) Sleeves are slightly long on me, but not enough to have to roll them back or anything. Originally I bought last years version of the same (or very similar) shirt because it was on sale, returned it for this one. This one is way better for me.
