Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice comfortable glove I purchased this glove primarily as an everyday glove; casual outdoor, driving, etc. If you're using it as a x-country skiing glove it will keep you very warm plus its durable. But if you are planning to use it as winter outdoor glove you will be disappointed because its not very warm unless you're creating heat by being active. Some people have also complained that its not waterproof...It's not and Swix never said it was. It clearly states that it is not waterproof in the details, which seems odd considering its a X-country glove. So the only issue I have with it is that the cuff seems a little long. But if you're using it for XC you'll probably appreciate it. Nice looking glove too.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Warm but no water protection These were good until they got a little wet. Then they were cold and soggy and took a long time to air dry. I was using them for hiking and when I had to climb a moderate hill I slipped and braced myself with my gloved hand in the snow. The wet glove was instantly waterlogged and my hand was frozen the rest of the hike.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average Best for drier snow as they get heavy and wet pretty easily. They are not as warm as the rating says, and the cuff is fairly long so they might be an issue if you are wearing something heavy under a shell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long-time wearer My wife and I love these gloves and are replacing them after years of wear. We're so thankful they continue to be made. We live in Central Minnesota, where driving your F150 on the ice in the winter to your ice shack is common (tho NOT our lifestyle choice). These gloves are a perfect for our "in between" weather - when it's too cold to just wear glove liners but too warm for our deep winter gloves. We wear them to walk our dogs, hike, XC ski, etc. Whenever a pair wears out, we'll be back!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good fit, keeps your hands warm For those with large hands and a "pianist's fingers", finding a good-fitting pair of gloves can be tricky. Fortunately, the Norwegians must have similar issues, because they seem to have solved this problem quite adequately. The XC-100's are one of the best fitting pair of gloves I own, and maintain a high level of warmth and dexterity, the latter I rarely find amongst heavy winter gloves. In addition, the gloves are proportionally quite long, and should come up to mid-forearm length, limiting the possibility of snow getting into your baselayers. However, I would strongly advise that you treat the gloves with some sort of high-quality waterproofing solution, as they are originally only water resistant. In addition, the gloves are not secured with a cinch strap, so you'll need to do do some jury rigging if you find a strap to be essential to keeping snow out. I wouldn't recommend these gloves for anything more rigorous than casual wear and snow sports however, as the light materials they are made of aren't especially durable, meant to focus more on warmth, comfort, and dexterity. I personally use them on exceptionally cold days, and when snowboarding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gloves These gloves are excellent. Massively warm, but not puffy. You can still use your fingers, unlike some of the gloves out there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gloves for the price Good snug fit on the hand, thumbs are slightly long (might just be my hands), great warmth and still very light.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Snow Shoveling I purchased the Swix XC-100 two weeks ago. They have a very comfortable fit, very pliable. I purchased them for everyday use and especially while show shoveling. I can shovel for about 20 minutes and then have to go into the house to thaw out my fingers. These may be comfortable gloves but they do not keep your fingers from getting very cold. A lot of money for no warmth performance.
