Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great design The C80 is probably the best chalkbag I have used. The opening has a rigid ring that keeps it open all the time, so you never miss when you reach back. The large opening also lets you do two handed chalking. The little pocket is really handy as well. I keep some change in there, my gym pass etc. At first I thought the material was thin, but it has lasted me a few years with only slight signs of scuffing, so its unbelievably durable. The cord cinches down pretty tight, so no stray chalk gets out. I like to attach my chalkbag to my harness - I guess its more of a problem of my harness... but it was a bit fiddly to get it to sit high enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The "Top-Shelf" chalkbag I've always said that a chalkbag pretty much lasts forever and that was true for about 10 years until... finally... the straps on my previous Evolv bag broke. I've wanted this Arcteryx bag for years after borrowing a friends for one evening in the gym. The bag is really really nice! The mouth of the bag always stays WIDE open and you never need to fiddle around to get your hand inside. The first 1 to 2 inches of fabric are slippery, allowing your had to slide right inside even if you are sweating profusely. Deep inside the chalkbag the fabric is perfect for quickly applying copious amounts of chalk VERY fast. The best part is that there is a small zipper pocked for things like my wedding ring and my car keys which do not fit into my pant pockets easily when I'm wearing a harness. The only downside is the belt which I cut away and replaced with full strength webbing (eays to do) simply because I could have an extra emergency sling without any added weight on alpine adventures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bag! I have large hands, not giant but definitely not small, and I absolutely love the large mouth on this thing! Construction seems very sturdy and durable. I got the green and it looks good clean or chalk covered! I'm fairly thin (32" waist) and the belt has a little over a foot of tail. This could be easily trimmed but it doesn't bother me, at least not yet. The draw cord closes the mouth off very well and holds chalk inside exceptionally! Although I haven't used it yet, I love that it has the zippered pocket! I will definitely be using it on my next outdoor trip!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Chalk Bag Sizing: I've been using this product for about 8 months now, primarily for indoor rock climbing. For reference, my hand would fit into a medium-large Arc'teryx glove and bag is perfect in size for my hand plus a full chalk ball. I find that other bags that I have used don't allow enough room, especially when your hands and forearms are pumped. Cons: My only complaint pertains towards the removal of the waist strap. Personally, when I'm wearing a harness I would rather not have additional straps and would prefer to clip the chalk bag to my harness using a carabiner. I cannot figure out how to remove the strap without cutting it because it feeds very tightly in-between the plastic bottle opener. In one of the photos they show the chalk bag without the waist strap. Pros: The bag is very durable against abrasion which is obviously a must have. The bottle opener is a nice touch but more importantly, the small zipper pocket located on the back side of the chalk bag is awesome when you don't have a locker near by. If Arc'teryx extended the height of the pocket by an inch you would be able to fit your phone in there no problem but as of the current design you could easily fit a wallet, keys, etc. I have not had any issues with the draw string like some users have reported. The drawstring sinches up quite tightly. Perhaps only a hole about 2mm in diameter remains. The fleece liner is also a nice touch and comfortable after or during a tough climb.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy access to confidence powder! This review is well overdue. To say I am romantically involved with my chalk bag might be pushing it, but you get the idea. I purchased this in the now discontinued burnt/rust orange color only to be teased by Arc'Teryx's recent release of the same product in neon tennis ball yellow/green (or genepi green in Arc'Teryx parlance). Nonetheless, my rationale to purchase this little bag still rings true: the opening is perfect to accommodate my large mitts, the sphincter closure is so secure no loose chalk puffs out (this is no lie!), it is stylishly gorgeous and it has a bird on it. I have put this through the ringer on countless climbs in gyms all over America as well as the wilds of Southern California. It coolly thwarts any attempts Joshua Tree NP's cheese grater rock makes to rough it up. The added zipper pocket wonderfully houses my Metolius hand repair balm for post climbing hand repair (this is a must as my wife wont let me touch her with alligator-skin hands). Within six months of ownership I broke off the plastic end on the draw cord nearly justifying my irrational need for a new one in genepi green. Alas, I instead tied the two ends of the draw cord into at knot and we have since happily climbed our way into the sunset. There's something to be said about repairing your favorite gear and keeping it serviceable for many years! This is an outstanding product I would recommend it again and again. Also, when not housing my chalk, it dandily secures my skittles during nature walks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bag for all levels The bag is very durable and light. I wish the strap clip was fabric instead of plastic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bag for big hands. I climb exclusively outdoors, and like this bag a lot. If you have bigger hands, this is perfect for you. The only downside is the waist strap, I had to cut it off, instead of having a way to take it off and put it back on when you want to boulder.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big like you think of Gods as large. Love this chalk bag. It's well made and after making the belt removable (which took 5 min.) it hangs great on my harness. Did I mention its giant? It's about 60% larger than the C40 and easily fits any hand. It also has a ring holing it open and quality draw string that actually closes the bag so you don't end up with a car full of chalk (er, at least not from this bag).
