Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost perfect. I have been packing on international trips with Eagle Creek cubes for years. I was really excited when I saw these featherweight cubes. I bought 2 sets and ended up only needing one set plus a folder for a two week trip. I like the white with the green trim because the visibility is great. My only disappointment, and I thought it was significant, was the ease of access compared to the regular eagle creek cubes. I normally unzip the 3 sides of the cubes and open them and put them in the drawers at the hotel. When I am ready to pack again, a quick zip and I am ready to go. With a zipper on only two sides, my method didn't work. I suppose they eliminated the third side zipper to make it lighter?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from zipper pull tab is constructed poorly My mom bought this for me for my trip overseas. When I was packing I was very happy with it. However, when I got to my destination and was unpacking, the plastic tab on the zipper pull on the middle size pack came right off. I wouldn't complain if this happened after years of use, but this was the first time I used it. When I took it back to the store, the lady at the checkout told us the plastic piece breaks off all the time and they sell the tabs. She said what they have in the store is an upgraded version from what we have so they will not do an exchange (this was purchased less than 2 months ago!). This is not a cheap product. I don't think any part of it should break off when it's still new. The pull tab is constructed poorly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More Pack-It Specter Cubes, Less Luggage I bought these the berry color in preperation for for a trip to to Europe next summer (allowed only one carry on for two weeks. I usually need a minimum of a 23" checked piece of luggage and carry-on for a week.) Was heading to the Florida Keys for 5 days so a friend suggested I buy these and test my abilty to pack more efficienlty. These are great. Ultra thin, everything stays organized and neatly folded. With some packing tips from REI clerk and the Pack-It Specter Cube Set, I travelled to the Keys with a carry-on, shoes, clothing, beauty essentials, EVERYTHING in one carry-on. Buying more for my family.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for organization I use this when I'm traveling with a duffel bag instead of suitcase, though I think it would work well for suitcase use as well. Usually these are hiking or skiing trips. I used to dig around my duffel looking for stuff and creating such a mess it would take forever to find anything. These cubes have fixed that problem. It makes packing easier and faster. I love the white and green zipper contrast. It's lightweight and even has a handle at the top. At first I was skeptical because it wasnt' super cheap, but... totally worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great I have the white Specter Cubes. The fabric is not completely opaque which helps me indentify what's in each cube easily without having to open them. I use these for packing a lot. Especially when making short trips for business. I frequently might have just a carry-on or small bag that will be used for work as well as clothes and toiletries, so being able to remove the non-business stuff from a bag in a hurry is great when I have to run to a meeting before checking in to a room. They are also really great for storing off-season stuff (i.e. gloves, mittens, thick winter socks, etc.). I have also used them for organizing yarn and knitting projects both on travel and at home. The only thing I would ask for is additional sizes that are similar to the small and medium cubes, but 1"-2" deeper. That and greater availiblity at my local REI.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Won't pack for a trip w/o them again I was so happy to have purchased these bags for a recent trip where I limited myself to a carry- on. I put nearly all of my clothes in the largest bag, my underwear/ socks/ swimsuits in the mid size, and some electronic cords etc. in the smallest and had room to spare in each. This wasn't business travel and I didn't necessarily care if things got a little wrinkly, so I didn't mind them not zipping all the way around in the slightest. Also it just wasn't a big deal to take things out of the sac, find what I wanted, and put everything else back in there. If you organized items by each sac to being with, it's super easy to find what you need within them. I didn't notice in the store that they also sell these with a compression feature - and I would probably have purchased those instead had I noticed. That said, these are SUPER lightweight, easy to clean, and fairly water resistant. They also were great when I had dirty, sweaty clothes w/o time to wash them at the end of my trip - I just put them all in 1 sac and nothing else in my bag got stinky or dirty. I don't know how I traveled without these before.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lighter organization Own a lot of the beefier Eagle Creek packing cubes. I'm a big fan of the lightweight material. Some may prefer heavier/mor protection, but I required less bulk and more organization. These do the trick...a little pricey, but well built.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light-weight and holds a lot I also own eBags and Eagle Creek (the classic ones) packing cubes. When I saw these, I thought they were small compared to my other packing cubes. However, they expanded substantially when I filled them up! I was able to pack 7 pairs of underwear in the 1/4 cube, 7 - 9 pairs of sport socks in the 1/2 cube and 9 t-shirts, a pair of yoga pants and a pair of shorts in the cube. (The pants and shorts were folded flat and placed on top of the rolled t-shirts.) I was surprised how much clothing this set set held! With the addition of 2 pairs of pants/jeans, shoes and toiletries, that is basically all I need for a week's travel! These 3 cubes fit well in a carry-on bag with room left over for the pants, shoes and toiletries. Since the cubes are so lightweight and take up almost no space, I recommend getting a spare cube. You can bring it with you on your trip and fill it with dirty laundry so you don't have to mix clean and dirty clothes in one cube. I agree with the other reviewer that it's slightly more difficult to get to the items at the bottom of the cube since the zipper does not open around all three sides like the other Eagle Creek or eBags cubes. However, as the silnylon fabric is much lighter weight and softer than the eBags or Eagle Creek cubes, it would not be able to hold up its sides if the zipper opened on all 3 sides. The resultant trapezoid pouch without the zipper keeps all 3 sides up and gives the cube its shape. Once you have added a few items, the sides around the zipper can stay up better for easier loading of the rolled clothes. Unless you over-stuff the cube, I was able to reach my clothes in the trapezoid pouch area without disturbing my other clothes. Therefore, this "less than three sides zipper" issue is balanced out by the lighter weight fabric. I highly recommend this set! If you have dressier tops and pants, you can get one of the Eagle Creek folders. The Pack-it 18 folder is a perfect fit for a carry-on.

About how many shirts and or underwear fit in each size cube?

Asked by: emilyt
The amount of clothing that can fit inside the Pack-It Specter Cube Set can vary. Materials, type and and size of clothing can affect how much you can fit into the cubes. That said, we were able to fit 6 men's short sleeve shirts and one pair of underwear inside of the larger cube. Rolling up the clothing will be the best way to conserve space.
