Great Idea, Great Product!

I just bought a package of these at REI today, and I love them! I'm kind of a geek when it comes to cable management. At home, I have an assortment of plastic zip ties, velro cable ties, and electrical tape to organize and route cables behind my TV and stereo setup. And those three types of cable "ties" (plastic, velcro, and electrical tape) work great for use in the home. But these innovative little flexible cord ties are amazingly useful and appropriate for "on the go" applications. Example - I have two cell phones (work/personal) and an MP3 player. I like to keep the charger cords, ear pieces, audio cables, USB cords, etc. all in my car. I keep them all in the center console. Obviously, I wouldn't want to use plastic zip ties to hold these cords together, and electrical tape wouldn't work very well either. Velcro ties could work, but they wouldn't be as easy to put on and take off as these Niteize cord ties. I bought a pack of the bright green ones because they show up easily, and when I have half a dozen black cables sitting in the bottom of my center console, having a bright green cable tie around each cable makes it easier for me to get the right cable when I need it. Unfortunately I cannot attest to the durability of these ties since I've had them for less than 24 hours, but I've been playing with them a lot, and so far they seem to be holding up well. The 3" ties are long enough for every cable I keep in my car. And an added bonus - traveling with these things would be a snap, and also very useful. They're extremely light weight!

Great product, with one glaring defect

The only complaint I have about these ties is that the black tie is hard to find. They should ALL be manufactured in neon colors so they are easy to find if you drop one on the ground. While they appear expensive initially, they appear durable enough to justify the expense. Since my initial purchase of the 3" ties, I have purchased 6" and 12" ties and found them quite useful for drop cords on construction sites, far more effective and easy to use than Velcro straps.

The Best!!!

I got my first set at the Modern Marine Expo at Quantico several years ago. Since then I have used them to hold down four 25# weights that hold down my vendor tent at several different farmers markets. They work better than just about anything that I have tried before.

You need if...

You need if you think you could use these. Just pick the size right for you. This size is good for wires like cell charger etc. I've used now for over a half a year and they are still just as strong and firm as the first day.

Perfect for Attaching Shade Cloth

Bought the GearTie Original 32 inch x 2 pack at Lowes and cut them into 2.5 inch lengths to attach shade cloth to the interior of my FarmTek 12 x 16 greenhouse. They fit perfectly into the rail slots (where the bolts usually go) and the ribbed outside and wire interior made them hold fast. I can pull on the shade cloth and they pop right out when I want to roll back the shade cloth. No more problems with wind, tears , sagging or using bolts to hold the cloth in place. Will buy more for their intended use too.

Gear ties are for me

I really like these gear ties. The different colors are great. They sometimes break inside the silicone sleeve which renders it useless. Wish they were more indestructible. I use them to organize charging cords for the most part

These are the best cable tie's that I have ever purchased. I

These are the best cable tie's that I have ever purchased. I knew something was up when the display case only had one set left, so I bought it and I'm glad I did. I like the fact that they don't scracth your wooden furniture. Because this product is so good, everybody is buying them and they are in short supply around here. My next purchase will be from your website, to make sure that I get what I need. Once again a very great product!

Great ties for a Data Center

I work in the Data Center business and these ties are great for securing network cables and power. If we change something you can easily undo these ties and secure it back up rapidly. Our server racks look the best and our clients appreciate it as well. I prefer the orange color you can see it quickly for changes in equipment. Best thing ever. Just wish we had options for bulk discounts? I use the 3, 6 inch ties the most.

a question

These look like they’ll be perfect for what my son bought them for me for, but please define “rubber.” I have an allergy to latex, aka natural latex rubber. Too many companies, including yours, are just slapping a “Rubber” label with no clarification whether it’s natural latex rubber or silicone “rubber.” Please clarify so we know whether I can safely use them or if they’re for other family members to use.
