Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent and sturdy These gloves are a winner. My husband and I have used them for three years and they continue to deliver. During the summer and fall we use these paddling gloves about four times per weeks. sometimes also using them as bike gloves. The gloves have held up remarkably well. The leather palms really protect my hands while the cloth outer shell protects against sunburn. The gloves are responsive--we use them for sprint paddling. When dry I find the palms to be a bit stiff so sometimes I dunk them in the water before putting them on. I have used numerable paddle gloves---these are the best warm weather paddling gloves ever,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made this paddling fanatic happy. I've used these gloves from 3-5 times per week for the past 8 months. These gloves are easy to slip on and off and work equally well whether wet or dry. They show no signs of wear and tear other than palm discolorations due to countless hours of paddling. I have owned other gloves that were difficult to put on because of velcro closures and which have frayed on the end of the fingers. I will never go back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable I bought these for me and my son for the 2015 DesPlaines River Canoe Marathon. This was our 12th time participating in this race. I have experimented with different gloves over the years to prevent the blisters and torn skin that invariably form after 18.5 miles of racing. These gloves were by far the best at preventing blisters. My hands were almost perfect after the race. My son agreed they were very good, but still had minor blisters. They are light weight, like bike gloves without the padding. While I cannot comment on their long term wear, they did hold up fine for the race. I will definitely use these for training and racing. Also, because they are thin, it is easy to grip the paddle. This is important because many gloves I have tried are thick and not as comfortable. These do not provide any insulation from the cold.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Paddling gloves I wore a pair of these all day every day for 77 days while paddling down the Missouri River. They were comfortable, fit me well, and provided good sun protection on the backs of my hands. Pretty much wore them out, but they did what was asked of them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sea Kayaking I bought my partner & I a pair of these for a three day Sea Kayaking trip in the San Juan Islands. They worked great. No blisters & they dried somewhat fast. We almost just used our biking gloves, but am glad we chose to invest in these as the biking gloves would have been wet all three days we were out and the thin padding on these gloves worked out nicely. Getting them on and off are not the easiest, but that's due to the style of gloves (just like biking gloves). No breaking was needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great for warm weather paddling I have used these 2-3 times each week when I paddle for 2-3 hours. They are light, quick drying, and provide nice a grip with cushion. I wore them out after 2 years and I am on my second pair

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Total hand protection I purchased the Paddling Gloves for a local event called Paddlefest. They were perfect!! They protected my hands from the sun and wind. They also were superb at preventing blisters, scrapes and other minor wounds. I would highly recommend these to anyone who wants to save their hands! (and they are really really comfortable!!)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Definitely not for a serious float Bought these to use in the Des Plaines River Marathon which is 19+ miles of paddling. After mile 12 blisters began to form. They were great for the first few miles. As the product wording states correctly which I missed they are for "light coverage" so if you are going to do some serious paddling I would not recommend these.
