Good, handy item
Duct tape is amazingly versatile -can hold just about anything together, at least temporarily and these small rolls can be tucked into a bag ready for the inevitable emergency. I used a roll to repair a companion's detached hiking boot sole, so it was back to REI for yet more pieces

Not good quality duct tape.
The size and portability of the roll are great, but I had to use this in the field and the quality and stickiness of this duct tape are far inferior to the real Scotch duct tape. I tried to stop a leaking crack on my fiberglass kayak and it would barely hold in a situation good duct tape would have performed great. Also, tried to wrap it to itself to hold a bandage on a finger and wouldn't even stick to itself well! This is a terrible product cuz you carry it just in case and then when that time comes it lets you down.

Weak Tape

My ftiend's boot separated from the sole, so I used the tape to secure it back on before we headed back to the car and it only held together for an hour. I eventually had to use rope instead. My advice: If you want some real duct tape with you on the trail then buy a nice full roll. Then you can wind as much of it as you want around a short pencil to make a pack able sized roll of duct tape.

Good tape

Good duct tape. Only used it for hot spots on my feet but it held all day.

Not Water Resistance

Bought this about 3 wks ago, and got to put it to the test in my backpacking trip this past week (9/11-916). Had high hopes for it, but the stickiness of the tape wears off quick, I had to keep replacing the tape at least 4 times before I finally gave up trying to fix a tear. It’s also not waterproof, making it useless after a few minutes getting wet. Good concept, bad quality. Probably would have had better luck buying tape from the dollar store.

it’s duct tape

It’s perfect for backpacking. Sticks well. I always take two rolls. I always need them for something. This is a must for me. Perfect amount for a tent fix, water bladder fix, I used it once to tape my rain fly up and out of the way.

Works

Patched up a good tear in my Platypus and didn't leak for 4 days! Don't know that it's any better than any other duck tape, but I'm sold based on the one time I really needed it to work.

MUCH too big/thick

These rolls are about twice the thickness of anything that comes in most PSKs. Since I'd have to peel off almost half a roll to fit it into my PSK, I might as well just spend the [$] on an entire roll of duct tape and roll it onto a little spindle myself.Fail, AMK. Fail. Sell these for $5 per 4 that are about 28-34" long or so and you'll have a winner.

Perfect size for camping/backpacking

What can I say, it's duct tape... but in a smaller, more compact form. Perfect for an emergency kit, backpacking, camping, etc. without having to lug a massive roll of tape.
