Up, up, and away!

We bought 2 of these, and they've revolutionised our use of the garage! We're older (65 & 70), but they're easy enough to use. We put a bungie cord from the front wheel to the pedal crank so the wheel wouldn't swing free when being lifted or lowered. It was a bit fiddly to adapt them to our roofline for installation, but some home carpentry added the needed support. Plenty of leftover cording--enough to string it again if we need to.

Works great - easy install - easy to use

Between two of us, we have four bikes in the garage. I needed something to get a couple of them off the floor and this worked great. Directions are simple (you can pretty much follow the picture on the box). It will hoist my heavy touring bike (45 lbs) with ease. If you have a really nice Saddle, like a Brooks, this might not work for you or you may need to rig an alternate attachment on the seat end. I think the constant pressure on a leather saddle would deform it. I got around this by attaching some webbing to my rear rack and then connecting the hoist to that. One caveat and this is my own stupidity. There's a lot of rope, so I eyeballed it and trimmed what I thought was excess. It wasn't excess. I can still hoist the bike but I have to lift it a couple inches to get it on the hooks.

Up and out of the way

This is a great way to get your board like my SUP board out of the way. I have a 14 foot SUP board I needed to get out of the way and this was one of the easiest ways to get it out of the way. Even better I can now just pull in underneath it and it lands right on the rack for my car. As soon as I'm back I just lift it off simple as pie.

Gets things out of the way

I wanted a way to get my kayak up in the rafters of my garage yet be able to lower it down conveniently. This product easily hauls up my kayak and easily lowers it down. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to store their kayak or bicycles out of the way.

Easy to install

We installed the bike hoist in our garage for hanging my husband's bike. Installation was quick, simple and worked great for it's intended use. Works great and we are very happy with it.
