Simple and effective

I was using old files to prop up brakes until bindings changed and the files would not do the trick anymore. I then started using thick rubber bands, but every once in awhile the band would rip. This swix product is essentially a super duper heavy duty rubber band that holds your ski brakes up while you file, sharpen and wax your boards. I bought 2 pairs last year because I couldn't find more. I just bought 2 more pairs today. I now have one pair of retainers for each member of my family

Swix Brake Retainer

These are the perfect tension/size for my Ski Brakes (Look SPX 12 GW Ski Bindings, 90mm). They keep my skis (Blizzard -Black Pearl (88)) and bag from getting scratched upwhen traveling. Functional and affordable.

Strong bands do their job.

Worked good as break retainers having enough strength to keep the breaks out of the way while working on the base. They also seem thick enough to be durable but time will tell.

Works Great

These do the job and are very sturdy. Have been great while working on the bases/waxing with keeping the breaks engaged to keep the bases free of obstacles

Great

Work great, super strong. Bought them for using in my ski bag on flights so I could pack my skis flat next to each other.
