Nice and durable
I keep one of these attached to my out-of-the-house glasses, which means I wear it a *lot*. I'm not usually aware that I have it on except that I don't have to worry about my glasses sliding down my nose if I sweat, or falling off if I trip. On a competing product I tried before this one, the parts that were supposed to grip my glasses swelled up after 3 months or so, softened, and started letting go unexpectedly. I've been using this one Croakies retainer for a good six months now and their grip seems as solid as ever. Silicone rubber, the label says -- makes sense to me.

Fine concept and manufacturing, other than they are only for either people with a really small head, or really small people. Useless for me, an average size man..

Must have for any Chad

These are key if you're spending any time outside in the sun. For a while I was using these $8 straps on a $2 pair of sunglasses. Definitely recommend.

handy for those with glasses

Good quality, better than you will find in drug stores. Can tighten up behind. I found that a figure eight on the rubber ends was needed to hold my prescription glasses. These are great when you want to drop your glasses to your chest in the rain or if the morning sun glare is too much (assuming you can still se better with them off in those conditions). They also add security, it you have expensive progressives and are boating or need to where glasses when swimming (be careful though). For the absent minded who take off glasses to read or text, then these can stop you from losing your glasses, say when travelling. These for when function and security more important than having that model look.

Perfect for keeping your glasse where they belong!

I purchased a couple of sets of these Croakies for my husband and me, in anticipation of our participating in a kayaking training course. We knew we'd be doing wet exits, and really didn't want to risk losing our prescription glasses. We kept the Croakies cinched tightly, and they performed like champs - easy to fit, easy to adjust, and our glasses didn't even budge! Had our glasses come off they would not have floated of course, but I find the retainers with floats harder to keep snug, and suspect I would have ended up parting ways with my glasses had I gone that route. These worked out to be a far better fit for us, and I felt a lot more confident that I could see what I was doing throughout the day. These will definitely be going on our paddling essential kit list.

Functional, comfortable, with room for improvement

Hiking in the South Pacific, I found these thoroughly deserving of the classic Croakies brand. Resilient, and dependable for keeping sunglasses out of the way... and the ocean. My only complaint from the field: the rubber loops (designed to grip and hold the glasses themselves) can be a bit cumbersome, undermining an otherwise perfect fit.

best eyewear retainers, awesome price

I bought these instead of the others because it has the fastener so you can tighten the cord to the back of your head. Easy to install, durable material, and cheap! I use these when using the chainsaw, safety glasses in garage, shooting, and anything else that requires eye protection. If you buy 1, you may as well but 5 because you will use them.

Solid and dependable

I've used this cord for only a few weeks, but I am impressed with the construction quality and ease of use, relative to other retainer cords that I have used in the past. Time will tell how durable they are, but I'm optimistic that I may lose the first one (I purchased two) before it fails.

Doesn't feel like they are there

Gets the job done for a cheap price. Doesn't rub on the neck and looks pretty good with any basically any outfit.

Don’t Buy This

Poor Choice of materials. The black rubber band that attaches to the ear piece lasted less than a week before it broke. It looked like the rubber or plastic that it’s made of was dry rotted. I’m guessing this product was made in China.
