Great.

Lots of detail. Excellent tool for planning big or small adventures in the Olympics. Clearly they were focused on backpacking and hiking, when they made this, but it's useful for other purposes too. My only complaint is that it still shows Lake Aldwell and Lake Mills. It's a very minor complaint, but the ams are gone, and it's been a decade now. An update is really overdue.

Helpful map updated in 2019

This map provides a good overview of the area, but not the level of detail as a Green Trails map. Very helpful that it was updated in January 2019.

Great Map

Nat Geo maps never fail. I used this map to navigate a trip with 7 other friends in the Olympic Peninsula. We used this to find campsites along Lake Quinault, the Hoh River, Second Beach and La Push on the coast, and found great spots around Sol Duc.

good overview of park, low on detail

I would recommend this for general route planning or hiking in just well established routes within the park. The level of detail and scale is inadequate to trust for anything out of the ordinary and does not include all trails. Definitely not adequate for map and compass route finding.

Colorful, accurate, rivers and streams well depicted. I’m a backpacker and fly fisherman. This is a great trip planning tool.

Last revised 2011, it is very out of date. I could not rely on it for navigation.
