A map is only good if you can find where you
I am a fairly seasoned, veteran backpacker. I ended up returning this map prior to my trek. It shows such a large geographic area that it proves useless. I want to know how to get to my trailhead, and what the trail looks like once I get there. If I'm taking a 15 mile trek, and those 15 miles = 1 inch on the map, it is not very useful to me. Perhaps I just bought the wrong type of map, but for my purposes, this map is useless. No offense to our great friends at National Geographic, whom I love dearly! :)
