No mileage markers
I am planning a multi-day backpacking trip in the Tetons so I ordered this map because nat geo national parks maps are usually great. This map, however, has no mileage markers on any of the hiking trails. I have never seen a trail map before without mileage markers. Mileage markers are super important for planning and safety and I am amazed that this map doesn't have them. Every other nat geo map I have (and every other backcountry map) has them. It almost seems like they were left out on accident.
No mileage markers
I bought this map to plan a backpacking trip on the Teton Crest Trail. While the detail on the map is great, I've never in my life purchased a trail map that didn't include mileage. How the heck do you use this map for a hiking tip without that?
Great detail & practically bullet-proof
As we work on our "The Living Wyoming: A Photographic Tribute" series of hardcover books - the more detailed the maps we can acquire - the more interesting territories we can include on our trips, and therefore in the books. This map will be a very valuable tool for us!!
Best Trail Maps
The perfect trail map, these things are extremely detailed, and provide all information in a easy to read, intuitive design. I've used this brand of maps for years and I never get steered wrong!
Very good map for the inside park boundary
Great map for the park. Wish to include the trails at the Teton Village Rendezvous Mountain because many people use the Tram/Gondola to approach the Teton Crest Trail.
Good read before you go
Great map of the Tetons. The side bar on trail descriptions was especially helpful. I suggest reading the trail descriptions and other info on the map before you go.
Lacking vital info
Great product insofar as waterproof, resilient, accurate and useful. But, where's the mileage? Should have mileage between trail turns, forks, etc. All the rest do.
90% there
This map was very useful in planning my trip. My only complaint is that it did not provide mileage between locations on the trails.
Real MAPS
Trails Illustrated Maps have always been the gold standard for national parks, and this is no exception. I had a map that was copyrighted in 1994 so it was time to upgrade, and this new map has a more pleasant and complete color palette and, of course, more info than the old map. I'll be taking it to Wyoming this summer.
Use another brand map if possible
I didn't use the Grand Tetons map enough to tell but my National Geographic Mt Rainier map was filled with wrong trail information. Please try to use another brand's maps if possible. Green Maps or Tom Harrisson, etc.
