Lightweight and Just Enough Tools

Recently bought another Mini 9 as a gift for a friend. I've owned one for a few years. The Mini 9 will fix 90% of the stuff that goes wrong on an MTB. Don't fall for the trap of buying a heavy tool that will fix everything (it won't...) The Mini 9 is light and compact enough that you won't regret having to carry a tool on long remote rides. I also carry a separate mini chain tool. The pair is lighter than most combo tools that include a chain tool. Don't leave home without it!

Good tool except for screwdriver

This is a very nicely made, compact tool. I did discover one problem with it though. The tip of the screwdriver is too blunt to fit the limit adjuster screws on my Campagnolo Chorus QS front derailleur. The head seems to be sized somewhere between a #1 and #2 Phillips, which suggests poor manufacturing tolerances. For bikes with larger adjuster screws on their mechs, I'd rate this 4 stars.

Great tool

My friend gave this to me about five years ago. I've taken it with me on nearly every ride I've gone on in that time (and usually regretted it when I left it at home). I keep it on my keychain now and it comes in handy. After five years of heavy use it shows no wear at all. It's a great mix of tools for field repairs on a modern bike. It is not substitute, however, for a good full-size set of hex wrenches in the garage, but it's not meant to be.

Good combo, some not usable

Love the size and amount of tools, but the length to width makes it tough to use in tight spaces. Smallest size was actually impossible to use for adjusting limit screws on the derailleur. If I were to buy again, I'd probably focus on the mini 6 for just quick adjustments to seat/handlebars when out and about and get a less portable set for home.

Everything you need in a small package.

To my surprise I use this at home all of the time as well as on the road. It has everything I have ever need while on a ride and is so small. I did a double century without support this summer in ten hours and knew I would be fine with this as my only tool should any mechanical issue come up.

This is a great tool! it's small and it fits nicely in my small under the seat pouch with my other flat tire fixings. it's great if you need to make a small adjustment out on the road, light weight and has all the essentials needed. I highly recommend this tool.

A Simple and Durable Tool You Can Always Carry

I'm newer to cycling as an adult, I biked as a kid but never really did much. But I've been riding a lot lately and even commuting in (only 4 or 5 miles but its along roads and trails, and these days there's little fallback if stranded halfway there) so I wanted something I could have with me if something goes wrong. I'm admittedly also a novice at bike repair, but in a pinch I figure I could figure it out with the right tools, and this is perfect for that. It fits well in a pocket, or a bag either on frame or that you have on your back. It is compact but has a good mix of hex wrenches and bits to assist with most basic bike maintenance on the road or bike trail. Its manufacturing is incredibly sturdy and durable and its design allows for some great leverage. There's assuredly many jobs in bike repair it can't do, and I'm sure there are other tools that can do them with similar amounts of portability, but this one perfect for my current skill level and needs and will likely be the same for most bike commuters.

Excellent value in a small take-along tool

This little guy has it all in a very compact package. Solid quality tool. I leave the 8mm bit in my toolbox to save weight. For any application where you'd need an 8mm wrench, you'd never be able to generate sufficient torque with a tool this small.

Great little tool! Emphasis on little!

It's teeny-tiny and it fits in my minimalist saddle bag without issue. It has the basics. It's well-built. I've had a few multi-tools including Park and some cheap Amazon ones that were gifted to me but so far this one is the best. The only reason I'd switch is to buy one of Topeak's larger models with a chain breaker. Definitely recommend!
