Awesome if you use it correctly
I've used this stuff both in the bottle form and wipe form. I first started with the wipes that worked absolutely flawlessly when snowboarding with glasses. You cannot find anti-fog better than this. I see lots of people are having trouble with it. I think it might be because of the bottle. You have to put on quite a bit. Make sure you're not wiping it off completely - you need to leave a bit on (it will evaporate). When I use the bottle I usually end up drying it off too much so not enough stays on the lenses. Personally I'm going back to using the pre-moistened wipes. They're already saturated so you don't have to worry about not putting enough on.
It Does Work
This winter I've been riding MT single track trails with a new 4" tire bike and a major problem that I ran into was glasses/googles fogging up. On days when the weather is below mid 20 degree and wind chills approach 0, I have to wear a full face mask. When I do I generate and trap so much body heat that my glasses/googles would fog up almost instantly. With Fogtech only the very bottom of the lens fog up temporarily; a 95% improvement. The application is very easy. Just clean the glasses well, let then dry, soak the applicator cloth and wipe it on. Fogtech sure is an inexpensive alternative to the $100+ battery ventilated googles that I was looking into.
This stuff REALLY works!
Yes, it really does work. I wear glasses with Ski Goggles, or prescription Glacier glasses. I have no problems at all with fogging, even with heavy exertion. I've tried everything, CatCrap, didn't work, Parker's Perfect, didn't work, home made anti fog brews, never worked. This product is fantastic. Easy to use, just paint it on and wait 15 seconds. No rubbing, no smeary lenses. No I don't work for them or sell the stuff.
Highly recommended.
I highly recommend this product. I recently played paintball but didn't have all my gear with me. I quickly realized I forgot to pack my Fog Tech, the area I was visiting had never heard of Fog Tech. so I purchased "another product" in hopes of being able to see clearly. "another product" didn't work at all for me. I have used Fog Tech in winter paintball games, snowy conditions, etc. and it has worked great for me. Once you try it, you will become a believer. If you sweat as much as I do, you will truly appreciate the effectiveness of Fog Tech.
Yes It does work.
I hate to say this but if you can't figure out how to get this stuff to work, then yes you ARE a moron. I have been using Fog Tech for over 4 years now. It has never failed me in any weather condition. I started using it playing paintball, which has serious issues with goggles and masks fogging up especially in colder weather and rain. I have completely submerged goggles in water after applying it, and the water didn't wash it off, my goggles still never fogged up. You can apply fog tech on "coated" lenses as well. The only time I have ever seen anyone have any problems, is when they didn't clean their goggles. Bluntly put, they had some other crud or "anti-fog" agent on their goggles and never thoroghly cleaned it off before applying fog tech. Long story short... GET IT!! This stuff is liquid gold!!
Usually Works
I've used this product for a year, and I had absolutely no problems with it. Just be careful when applying it, and don't rub it. It kept my glasses clear under my goggles, and lasted all day, even in wet conditions. I only came across a problem when I got new glasses with and antiglare coating, which caused the FogTech to streak a lot more.
Best Anti-Fog Solution I Have Used
If you have ever gone to a state fair or carnival, you probably have come across a kiosk where they offer to clean your eyeglasses and then hold them over a steaming teakettle to show that they don't fog up. I have purchased my fair share of those products, which do work--but only for a short time. This product is totally different. I need to keep my sunglasses fog free when I am running outdoors in the winter with a face mask, and my ski goggles fog free when I do winter sports. This product works better than anything I have ever used. Yes, there are much cheaper products, but they work only for a short time, and then the fog starts creeping in. Not so with this product. In fact, a single application keeps my shaving mirror in the shower completely fog free for several days. After that, when the mirror starts to fog up, a single wipe of the towel keeps the mirror fog free for the rest of the shower. As a practical matter I only have to apply this product about once a week to my shower mirror. Although this product is undoubtedly the most expensive anti-fog solution that I have ever used, because a single application lasts so long, it is actually more economical in the long run. This is definitely the best anti-fog solution I have used and is simple to apply. Therefore I recommend it. I have read the negative reviews, and can say only that my experience with this product has been positive.
Works 30 seconds longer than competitors.
Don't bother. If you fog everything like I do, this will last a little longer before fogging. Even fogged up in a fan vented mask, not really different than Cat Cr*p (really I can't even use their name in a review? )
Does not work
The same company makes a rain repellent for plastic that works wonderfully. This anti fog compound however simply does not work, not on my glasses, not on my motorcycle visor. No amount of cleaning these items beforehand makes any difference. Don't waste your money. This stuff doesnt work.
Does not work
Does not work. I tried it a couple times, and it definitely doesn't do what it's supposed to. I wasn't surprised though. I've tried many products to stop my helmet visor from fogging up, but no luck yet
