Not as good as AMK Fresh Bath Wipes
These are not biodegradable or flushable. Instead of buying these, I recommend the Adventure Medical Kits Fresh Bath Wipes which are biodegradable and flushable.

Freshen up pre-flight

I found this product accidentally, I thought I'd bought s&!t tickets but when Igot the package home and took time to read the package I realized I'd stumbled onto a solution for another problem altogether. I work in the trade show industry and frequently find myself flying home after a days work doing physical labor with nowhere to shower before heading to the airport. With these hand towel sized wipes I can pop into the gents and freshen up enough that with a clean shirt I'm inoffensive to both myself and others on the flight home. I'd still rather have showered but still these wipes make a less than ideal situation a lot more tolerable. No doubt they'd do a great job on trail too!

works fine but not ideal

I bought a pack of these to use on a climbing trip when I knew I'd be sweating a lot. When I opened the package, I was a little surprised. These have a REALLY strong scent out of the package. I DID like that the package is really resealable (sticks well despite reopening several times) and it left my skin really soft and the scent didn't linger. I used them on my face too and broke out really badly a few days later, probably from the fragrances. They cleaned like I wanted them to, but I'll try another brand next time.

No fuss, no stink

I originally bought these because I commute to work and there is no shower nearby. One pad is enough to take the sweat off and leave a pleasant scent. Then I went on a camping trip with the guys. One pad each got enough day-old campfire, beer, and brats off us enough to be allowed into a restaurant. Now they sit in my luggage for road trips or long airplane rides. It's nice to arrive at the destination feeling refreshed and ready to go. The package instructions state that the whole package is needed for a full bath. Right. Maybe for a full bath, but I think this is best to use between showers/baths. On possible negative. These have an abrasive fiber that can irritate sensitive skin. I think it's invigorating, but I can see how it might not feel that good on road rash or for children.

Body wipes can be great substitutes for a shower

I just completed a 12 day trek to Everest Base Camp where we had no shower facilities. I used 1-2 body wipes each morning to refresh and wipe down my entire body before getting dressed. I never felt dirty. I had the same experience 8 years ago in Tanzania climbing Kilimanjaro. In both cases, it was the dry season so getting the dust off worked very well. I then reused the wipes as as supplement to toilet paper--helped extend my supply of TP.

ONLY THE BEST !!

Hey, I’ve been using these bathing wipes for a situation not typical of most of the REI customers. I’ve been caring for my mother who has been bed-ridden due to being terminally ill. I bought these to help her feel clean on days she doesn’t have a health aide give her a bath. The wipes are absolutely FABULOUS! I would warm them gently in the microwave (8 seconds) and apply them to her skin- they were soothing, and cleaned effectively. They do not leave a film or residue, but a “clean” feeling and a pleasant mild scent from the aloe vera. These wipes were the ONLY product that gave her relief from a terrible rash on her back. I tried one on my own skin- very pleasant! I would not hesitate to use these for cleaning up after any outdoor activities. Highly recommend this product!

Contains fragrance, not suitable for camping

I bought these because an answer from REIservice on this page said they do not contain fragrances, however when I received them the ingredient list clearly states the product contains fragrances. Artificial fragrances attract mosquitos and bears so this makes them no good for camping.

Way better than baby wipes!

Perfect for a full cleanup after a sweaty day. I can crawl into my camp bed comfortably. Love the size (8” x 8”), the softness, lasting wetness for the whole body, the package directions, and they don’t dry out quickly in the package like small baby wipes do. I sit on the package to warm them in the morning, too, while I drink my coffee.

Fresh and clean feel

These are super moist and thick giving a similar feeling to washing up with a wet washcloth. They work great for super grimy days out hiking and long term camping. I love the neutral fresh smell. Only downside is the package does not say how many wipes are included and it notes they are microwaveable...I guess that would be nice but I don’t usually carry a microwave around with me.
