Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the same Chaco I've worn Chacos for at least 15 years and have always been a fan of the sandals and flips. I've never blown a pair out and I've put them through the ringer. I recently bought a pair and noticed that the sole was no longer a Vibram sole but a Chaco brand - NOT GOOD MAN!!! I've been wearing this pair for less then a year and the sole is slippery when it's wet out (problem in the PNW) and just walking around my house, I blew the toe strap out. REALLY???? What a downer, my favorite pair of flips is no more. Time to exchange this pair and try and find a more durable pair of favorite flips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best summer shoes I've ever owned I've never had much luck with sandals. They did not fit well, chafed, fell apart, did not hold up to water. These flip-flops seem miraculous: their sole is molded such that they actually support the arch in my foot and do not slip off in water (this means that I could -- and did -- give up my ill-fitting Tevas for good). They are comfortable over long-periods of time. The straps are wide enough to not chafe, yet sturdy enough not to snap. I've used my pair every day over the last two summers, in the city, on the beach, in the country. I took them to Australia, to Europe, to Duluth, I've gardened in them, even spontaneously hiked in them, and they are still going strong.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love Them Except for One Thing... I am a woman with wider feet, so I bought the men's flips because they fit better. Overall I really like these shoes--they're supportive, stylish, don't chafe too much after about a week, and have nice, thick soles that protect my feet from rocks and thorns. But...even though I've had these sandals for over two years, they still squeak under my feet! Sometimes it doesn't happen, or isn't as noticeable, but often times it's embarrassingly loud. I don't know if the strap simply isn't tight enough on my foot or what, but I don't wear them to quiet places like church or the library anymore for that reason.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Chaco Flop Having owned several pairs of Chaco flips previously. I didn't hesitate to buy another pair. I'm not sure that is has always been this way, but the ecotread flips are a serious disappointment from my past Chaco Flips - which closest resemble the current Chaco Flip Pro w/ the Vibram sole. In comparison, the ecotreads are seriously heavy. Like, every pair of shoes I own seams lighter. The sole on the ecotreads seems squishier and offers noticeable less support compared to the Vibram sole models. These are going back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE Hawaii slippah ! There are plenty of cheap "slippah" sandals to be had here in Hawaii. For us it is the wear any where foot wear. But one of the nastiest things you can step on out here is the large kiawe thorns. They go right through the bottom of your slippahs....unless you have your Flips on ! I brought a pair back from the mainland a couple of years ago....and have rarely taken them off. After seeing the performance of mine, almost all of my group of friends have bought their own pair. Everyone agrees it is the best slippah they have used....and they even look nice enough to wear out to dinner or at a wedding (we all have done both)....get a pair ! They are more expensive than the $5 drug store sandals, but the Vibram sole lasts way longer and they are MUCH more durable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wear like Iron third pair… worn daily, long, often, Feb thru Nov. These are my regular treads. Once a strap broke, and Chaco replaced for free. They will outlast you if you don't wear them as much as I do. I like basic black the best.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Top notch but not enough sizing options Bought these to replace my worn out havanaias. They have great comfort and arch support yet are good looking and have sober styling. Their better comfort and sole makes them more versatile, I could easily wear them all day long or in town. The only inconvenient is that the arch support make them more difficult to fit; size 12 was wide enough (though slightly too long) but the arch support was too close to my heel so I went with size 11, now the arch feels just right but the straps are slightly too tight. I wish they had half sizes or different width options.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Chaco Flops Wore these flips to my beach-themed holiday party...big mistake. After [*] and tearin' up the dance floor, the strap separated from the footbed!!! This wardrobe malfunction dampened the rest of the evening for me. [...]
