Has what you need, that's what matters

It's definitely a bit unorganized.. I took everything out and sorted it into ziploc baggies. Would be nice to have something between this and the big heavy red kits, something that folds out, you know? But for something you hope never to have to use anyway, it's a good solid option. The kit has all the vital stuff, and will be really useful when you need it, for anything short of broken bones. And the nylon bag protects the inner plastic bag from getting damaged, so it seems like it will be just fine sitting at the bottom of my day pack indefinitely. It doesn't come with scissors though, so consider bringing some or a multitool.

Could use higher quality med supplies

Bought this for a recent high adventure trip with Boy Scouts. Could use better organization. I found myself searching through the whole thing to find a simple band aid. Also, the moleskin included in this kit is of the poorest quality I've ever seen. Completely useless in real life situations. I had to supplement the kit quite a bit with my own purchased materials. The package itself is nice though - definitely keeps things dry.

Very Good Ultralight Kit

This is a very good pared down kit. This is not the keep in your trunk or garage in case of emergency kit. This is the small enough that you darn well better bring it on the trail kit - no excuses about bulk or weight. The duct tape is redundant for me, so I took that out. Saved a lot of weight there. Could use more and better blister treatment, added that. It's a kit, so you should personalize it a bit. Add a little, remove little or nothing. This plus the Personal Survival Pak and you're pretty good.

An excellent place to start.

I love this first aid kit, carry it daily and use it often. The original kit comes equipped with a good range of basics. I bought this three years ago for my first back packing trip. Since then much has been replaced, substituted, or added too based on my individual experiences. For me the bag was a perfect starting point that didn’t require me to over think anything. I was able to pack it and head off to my first adventure. Experience, research and adaptability did the rest over time.

Great starter kit

I bought this mainly for the bag. It's a great starter kit. I repacked some items and added my own (OTC meds, bandages, water purification tablets, ect). For example, there was a huge roll of medical tape, so swapped it for another partially used roll. I will also be replacing the tweezers, it wouldn't work well for a tiny splinter or tick. I would recommend to others who are willing to customize a bit.

Great and lightweight

This is a great kit for backcountry activities. This(and all the ultralight kits) is NOT a kit to keep in the trunk of your car. This is made for people who like light weight things but still have all the things you need in case you get hurt. I have seen reviews on some of the other ultralight series kits complaining that everything is just packed in there and there is no organization. Well I am not sure if they really know what ultralight means, but ultralight means you cut out all unnecessary weight and only have what is needed. So in the case of an ultralight first aid kit that means organizational pouches. To help with a little organization you can completely unpack the kit and then repack it so you get an idea of where you are putting the different contents. This kit has a little extra room to add some additional stuff. I added AMK's Blister Medic to the bag and it fits in with no problem. This helps out a little bit with organization as all my blister supplies are on the blister medic pouch so I can just pull it out. This kit is for people who want a good first aid kit but don't want all the weight of regular kits. This kit is at least half the weight of its non ultralight counterparts. I would highly recomend this to backpackers and hikers who need a good first aid kit for shorter (a few days) trips.

Almost everything you may need.

It has almost everything you may need. I only added some stuff though: - lip balm, - cold sore medicine; - few bigger bandages; - few small bandages of sizes I prefer; - few non sticky sterile pads; - wide elastic bandage. Keep in mind that the yellow/blue bag is just exterior shell which is not watertight. Everything is packed inside a thick watertight ziplock bag placed inside this outer shell (and medications are also packed into sealed plasti). It is very tight fit, but I went with one more ziplock bag to separate medications from external treatment. Both ziplocks fit inside the yellow/blue bag. The only complain: zippered opening is slightly short. It would be much easier to extract stuff if zipper was bigger, from one bag edge to another.

Has Been the Perfect Lightweight Kit

I've had this kit for about 3-years now. It has proven itself to be the perfect kit for my needs. Aside from being ultralight and waterproof it has just about everything you'll need on the trails. The only thing it really didn't have, that I wanted was blister care, but there is plenty of room in the pouch to add other items.

Good Kit, Not AMK's Best.

The Watertight .7 Kit is a pretty good first aid kit. It covers the basic needs someone might have on a short outdoor excursion. As with all first aid kits I did do some customization of the kit. The one problem I have with the kit is the organization. All of the supplies are essentially in one large pocket. There isn't much internal organization so I had to sift through the pack to find what what I needed. While this kit is okay I highly recommend one with more organization such as the AMK Day Tripper Kit.
