Great Quality and Stopping Power
I have a lot of bikes. The bike I probably ride more than the others is a single-speed messenger style bike. Yes, it's heavy, but it also is durable with thickstick tires that don't flat around town. It also runs through brake pads fairly quickly. This last go round, I paid a bit more for the Shimano Ultegras. What a difference they make in terms of performance. The bike probably stops 40%-50% more efficiently and their fit and overall quality is superb. A highly recommended extra spend.

No way to set up toe-in
These pads can't be tilted to set up toe-in, so they are not really compatible with modern caliper brakes. Braking power is quite weak immediately after installation.

Stop!

Yes, these brake pads will stop. That's good though. REI has these, they're the mid-level brake pads meant for your road bike. They are easy to install and low cost. Definitely recommend.

All or Nothing

When I apply the brakes, these brake pads make my bike stop. It's either an all or nothing rating for this product, folks!

Terrible brake pads

Just bought two pairs to replace my 3 year old brake shoes that were worn out. These look good but are much much worse than the old brake shoes I had on. I can't believe this is a real ultegra break shoe.

solid cheap option

First time replacing my brakes myself, these are extremely easy to install and instantly felt great on my bike. Glad I opted for these ones, would recommend to beginner bike repair DIYers

No frills, gets the job done

These are no frills brake pads - basically rubber than you can attach to your bike. But for the price, this is exactly what you should expect. They get the job done.
