Purchased last year in another color and fell in love with this coat. It’s VERY warm and comfy - feels just like a wearing a thick, down comforter & made with a medley of soft winter fabrics that work in concert to be not only warm but SO comfy: wide wale corduroy, flannel & thick baffles of warm down. Inside coat & pockets are lined with brushed flannel. Arms lined with a silk-like fabric that’s still very warm and easier to take off & on. The ONLY negative is the length of sleeves are almost 2 inches too long for a petite frame, but I still adore this jacket & brought it out of storage in anticipation of wearing it as soon as it gets cold enough here in the PNW. Cold wind & drizzle cannot penetrate this coat one iota. I’m very surprised Patagonia has chosen to discontinued since it looks like a lot of thought went into the design & last year it sold out. There was even a wait list just to purchase one. Why Patagonia????
This jacket is a big disappointment. It is very bulky. The corduroy color is an unattractive brown. The inner flannel is not soft. It is very boxy and uncomfortable because of its bulk and stiffness. I was hoping for soft comfortable natural fibers, and that the down would make it flexible and not too heavy. I'm returning it.
I love this Patagonia jacket. I got it in the rose color and I get compliments on it all the time. It is the warmest jacket I own and putting it on feels like wearing a cozy blanket. I love that it’s down bc it’s water resistant.
