About the Footprint: Protection You Actually Notic
We also brought along the Samaya Instant3 footprint for this trip and it proved itself just as useful as the tent. Designed specifically to fit the Instant 3, this lightweight, compact groundsheet does a great job protecting the floor of the tent from sharp rocks, abrasive ground, and wet soil, which is exactly the kind of terrain we rode through in Morocco. With a durable ripstop nylon build and a high waterproof rating, it kept the tent floor dry and intact even when we camped on rough or damp surfaces. It’s easy to attach and didn’t add much weight to our load, but the extra protection and peace of mind it provided made a real difference on long, dusty bike days and cold, dewy nights, helping extend the life of our shelter.
