Pretty Sweater
I bought this in the ivory and garden pink. Color and the style is flattering - looks like a top and not a baselayer. Material is soft and keeps me warm under my light jacket.
Cut too short
Weird mock turtleneck and for high wasted pants only. Almost fits like a crop top on me. Received for Christmas and will be exchanging at the earliest opportunity.
Cute, but itchy and very short!
Very sad to have to return this. I normally love Smartwool sweaters, but this one did not work. It was a beautiful color and unique sticking pattern, but it was super itchy and very, very short! I normally do not have issues with wool sweaters, but this one was very uncomfortable. And even with high waisted jeans, the sweater didn't quite reach the top of my pants. If I'm wearing a sweater, it's probably chilly, so I definitely don't need by belly/back to show and get cold.
Love this sweater
I really love this sweater. Its weight is light but it's still warm. It hangs nicely. I almost kept the second color I bought it in and I still might get it.
A Perfect Sweater
Being a petite XXS, I find it extremely difficult to find tops at REI that fit. This sweater is cropped with slim arms, neither thick nor thin, perfect for customers like me!
Great cut, scratchy fiber
I love the cut overall, it's very flattering. The fabric is scratchier than I expected, and I'm a big fan of merino wool and don't usually have issues with it. I'm hoping/expecting that the fabric will soften over time with wear and hand wash, as I have experienced this before with Smartwool. The neck is a little high to be called ""mock"" but, again, maybe it won't bother me so much if the fabric softens. Overall I love the style and hoping it softens quickly.
Beautiful sweater
I just returned from a vacation in Norway and found myself wearing a smart wool base layer all of the time because it was perfect. Not too hot or cool, didn't smell after days of wear. So I decided to add to my wool collection. This sweater is beautiful, light weight and has a nice hand. It drapes nicely on my body so not tight or clingy. I love it.
Love the style - not so happy with scratchy texture
Love the funnelneck - cozy but not claustrophobic. Beautiful colour, wish there were more to choose from - pls carry over to next winter! Length great for shorter petite woman! I own many smartwool items that are not scratchy - but this sweater is particularly at the neck, which is a bit tight and narrow to pull on.
Don't like the cropped length
I loved the textured striping and high collar on this lightweight sweater, but did not realize it is cropped. I bought an XL size because I don't like sweaters to cling to my bust, but it barely met the waistband of a pair of high rise jeans and I'm only 5'3"". I'm far too old for such a style and had to return it.
Neck overly tight and boxy cut.
I like the fabric but the cut on this is weird. It feels really tight and constricted around the neck but is a bit short and boxy around the waist. Perhaps a bigger size would have helped (ordered a XS); I have noticed some inconsistency in Smartwool's sizing, which is frustrating when you're ordering online!
