Finisterre  Lapwing Insulated Coat - Women's

Size down! I'm a 12 but the 10 big enough for me. Lovely jacket Please make it in black

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found it hard to chose between the Lapwing jacket and coat but went for the coat as I have other shorter jackets. It's not too padded so it adds warmth without bulk and has nice clean lines. I live in the north of the UK but the cold doesn't bother me much so it's a winter coat for me, In a colder climate, or if you feel the cold, it's probably best for spring and autumn. My usual size had room for a jumper or thin fleece underneath so it's great for layering too.

I was unimpressed by the Lapwing coat. I ordered a size down as other reviews said it ran large. While it fit well enough me in the shoulders it was huge overall, and the shape was very unflattering. The lower 2/3rds seemed to be 3 sizes larger than the top portion. I can’t imagine it keeping anyone very warm as cold air would be coming in from the bottom. Needless to say I returned it and got a more flattering parka.

Love that Finisterre labelling guarantees the outer fabric is FC Free and insulation made from recycled bottles which is very important to me when purchasing garments. Very nice colour and fit. Would be great if there were inside pockets for keys or documents. Perhaps some elasticated finish at the back to give it a fitted look as i am a slim build.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second Lapwing coat. I still love my Raven Black as it goes with so many things but decided to buy it in blue too. I'm not disappointed. All the positives - lightweight, warm, doesn't crease so great for travelling, stylish because it's not bulky and a lovely colour shade - are here again. Couldn't be happier with this coat. Hope for more colours in the future.

It’s beautifully lightweight but very warm and the styling makes it comfortable to wear but not bulky. The longer line at the back looks great. Mr only slight criticism is that I’d have liked deeper pockets and a zipped inner one for my phone 😁

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I downsized to size 14 after reading reviews and pleased I did. Plenty of room as normally I’m a size 16. Plenty of room for a jumper underneath so ideal if you wear layers. Wore it for a weekend city break and it was perfect, lightweight but still warm. Very happy I bought it , will get a lot of wear out of this coat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the lapwing jacket and this is my first lapwing coat. It won’t be the last, warm and light, easy to fold. It’s great for between seasons. The sizing is on the larger but that’s good for a sweater underneath. The blue is slightly brighter than the picture shows, but it’s lovely as well head for brighter weather.

Quality spot on, great for transition into spring. Have enough room for a slim hoodie underneath so just perfect! Glad also got in sale.

However the added bonus is it’s a great coat on it’s own. Gret quality. I’m very happy with my purchase. I bought a size down following other reviews that it comes up large. 12 was a Good size for me at 5ft 10 normally 14
