For boots: Add one half size to your street shoe size. You should be able to slip one finger behind your heel when you are standing up with the boot unlaced and your toes touching the front. If the boot is too short, your toes will get smashed walking downhill. Too long and your heel will slide up and down and give you blisters.

Bought these the day of a big trip up to Meysan Lake on January 18 and these boots are well worth the price tag. Comfort right out of the box is amazing as long as you get the correct size accounting for the thickness of socks, you'll be wearing considering the GORTEX lining may take up some of the wiggle room. Performance wise they kept my feet warm and dry even after snow shoeing for 6+ miles in snow up to 5ft deep. The ankle support and stiffness of the soul provide very confident footing for scrabbling and kick steps when breaking some sun bake.
These boots are so comfortable and light weight. I can’t get over it. So far, I have gone on three hikes with a combined mileage of 25 miles one of which was through a lot of mud and another involved stream crossing. In both of these situations, my feet were totally dry and it was extremely easy to clean the boots after the hike. They provide a solid amount of support. There is also a good amount of grip on the souls making hiking the terrain easy. I feel really lucky to have found these. I also have been just wearing them on the street because they’re so darn comfortable. I think I might get a second pair as a backup! FYI, my feet are a little on the narrow side.
I love these boots. I've had mine for 2 1/2 years and hike in them at least once a week except when there is snow. They are light enough that I use them where I used to use low hiking shoes. They've provided sufficient support on the two backpacking trips on which I've worn them. Their waterproofing is good: I wore them on an early summer hike with at least two dozen stream crossings and hundred of yards of boggy terrain and my feet were dry at the end. They get good traction but the soles are wearing surprisingly slowly. Note that I have narrow feet, so these boots fit me well. They do have downsides: they are not warm so not suitable to wear in the snow, the insoles weren't supportive so I immediately replaced them, and I don't like the black and yellow colors.
I bought these boots to eventually replace an identical pair I bought in Italy a couple of years ago after my luggage was lost. The boots are super comfortable and very light, with excellent grip and stability. The Gore-Tex linings keep my feet dry in challenging conditions. The boots tend to run about 1 size smaller than listed, so take that into consideration on your purchase. My first pair are still in service with about 800 miles of use and holding up just fine, however since these are being discontinued, I wanted to bank a pair for the future. Best boots I have ever owned!
They feel so light on your feet. Paired with the right socks and man it is Soo nice. They are La Sportiva so they run a bit more narrow . I normally wear a size 9, but with hiking socks, I had to go up a size.
These shoes look great but when actually wearing them the heel drop is insane i feel like I'm wearing high heels and they are SO narrow i genuinely have no idea who these are supposed to fit? My feet arent particularly wide yet the sides of my feet feel like they are in a vice grip
Comfortable and stylish Big fan of this brand
I’ve been a Solomon fan for many years and had only tried Hokas for hiking (great but not durable). I went to REI expecting to get another pair of Solomon’s but tried these La Sportivas. They are light, supportive and fit very well. They actually seem to fit better than my Solomon’s ever did. I’ve yet to actually hike in them yet, but have been wearing them all week in an attempt to break them in, they are very comfortable. I’m looking forward to actually hiking in them soon.
Great pair of hicking boots light weight, the grip is amazing and very comfortable i recommend it.
Nothing fits me so well as La Sportiva, not even a close comparison. Fine performance, but only 8-9 months is all they last with daily wear. They always tear the leather in the same spot (other boots I've had do not do this). The company is totally unresponsive to my queries. So, reluctantly, I am going with other brands from now on.
