From City to Slopes
Very happy with this purchase. been looking for a new backpack that could pull multi-duty. Honestly, most of the time I'm using this for work commuting. You can remove the sternum, waist, and side straps, which ends up giving this bag a sleek style that's not out of place around the city or coming into work - if you are lucky enough to enjoy a more casual vibe at the office like me. Holds up well in the few days of rain I've had with it so far, nothing inside got wet. There is some organization in the bag but nothing like a dedicated computer/travel bag as is expected as this primarily a touring bag, so if you are going to use it for multi purpose I would make sure you have some sort of protection/organization for electronics. Laptop protector with a couple organizing features off amazon did the trick for me. While all that is cool, I was really interested to see how it'd do on the mountain. for me I've usually done mainly resort but more recently been dipping the toes into really exploring off-piste and snowshoeing to earn my turns. Obviously its a big process but at least I had everything with me in a nice bag. 2 Liter insulated reservoir fit well, it could hold more just depends on what you have and what else you wanna bring. The straps and hipbelt are comfortable enough and did a good job of keeping the pack tight and distributing the weight well. 29L was a good size for me, could fit safety equipment, an extra midlayer and other odds and ends I thought I might need (didn't need em but cant be too safe), and the aforementioned water without needing to burst at the seams. The gear straps across the back did exactly what i needed when it came time to carry my board going up and hold my snowshoes going down. For a day trip, or just ducking out of bounds this was great. the profile also isn't large so if you want to pack light and are just in the resort you probably wont have any issues on the lift, I didn't. It feels durable, but obviously cant speak to that yet since I've only had it for a couple weeks. one thing to note, on the off-white colorway you will pick up some small scuffs/stains from your gear or the straps themselves. Easy enough to clean with a Clorox wipe
Nice backpack
