[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Outdoor Research gave me this free product to try. This shell has quickly become my favorite. It is light, dry, and vents well. I've worn this jacket on backcountry adventures where it has dumped snow, and on sunny days on resort and it has held its own well. The pockets are large and in all of the right places. The dual zippers on the pit vents work great. In storm conditions the jacket cuts the wind and stays dry. The hood is roomy enough to fit over a helmet without feeling too big or blocking your peripheral vision. There's a small arm pocket which is the perfect spot for your ski pass on in bounds days. My only, and small, complaint is that sometimes the main zipper would stick at the bottom and be tricky to unzipper.

This jacket is the BOMB
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seriously, my favorite shell jacket ever. I've been wearing it all winter through powder dumps, sunshine, moonlight, negative temps, and liquid precip. It's visited resorts in-bounds and the backcountry (climbing and descending). I've worn it all around the Pacific Northwest, the Kootenays, and Lake Tahoe. It's even great for apres. The jacket has endured! The fit is perfect for me - I am 5'10, 150 lbs and am wearing a medium. I layer with my base layer, OR deviator hoodie, and a puffy vest (depending how cold it is) and everything fits nicely in the shell. The length of the torso is long enough to keep the snow out but perfect to still move around. I love the long sleeve length (this is so hard to find!). The neck gusset is large so it doesn't feel constricting but you still stay warm, it keeps wind out, and you can hide in it like a turtle. When skinning up, open the vents and the breathability is perfect. The color is gorgeous and I've received many compliments on it. The zippers move like butter, even with bulky gloves on. Outdoor Research gave me this free product to try and I'd highly recommend it.
