The best toy ever!!
When I first saw this in ads, I will admit I was a little skeptical. But my recent rescue has separation anxiety and I need things to keep her busy. I had another common treat toy but it was not interesting for her at all. So purchased the pupsicle and my goodness! Does she love it! Keeps her busy for a while and finishes every last bit of the treat. I have also found a hobby in making treats with the molds I bought a second mold because I kept wanting to make more. Bought my mom a starter pack as well and it was a hit with her dog too. I will be rescuing another pup so I am going to order another very soon. I am a big fan with 2 very satisfied pups
Lab Loves It....A little too much
We feed our lab ice cream to keep her occupied during family dinner. The pupsicle is a great alternative to control calories as well as spending. The pupsicle kept her occupied for much longer than our normal ice cream treat. The first night, we were a little lax and caught her trying to eat the dispenser. She managed to take out a couple of chunks before we heard her. We watched her more closely the next night and she left it once the treat was gone and hasn't tried to eat it since. I'm kinda bummed about the destruction from first night but think it will work well for us moving forward. Just make sure to watch your pup closely, if she is a toy chewer like mine.
Like it so far...
I love the idea of this product and I'm hoping my 45 lb Lab mix pup gets into it more. I like how heavy/sturdy it seems to be (large). I did not buy the pre-made treats, as I plan to try different recipes with ingredients I know/have. So far I froze some peanut butter with beef jerky pieces. It took my pup two tries before he was willing to get into it. He did seem to enjoy it and it occupied him for about 5-8 minutes. My only complaint so far is the very thin arch tracks on the inside of the screw-on 'cap' are hard to clean for things like peanut butter...lots of soap, hot water, and toothpicks barely got it all.
Collie Puppies
My puppies just turned one. They have never been interested in toys but instead love tearing up boxes which leaves a lot to clean up! I know they needed something to focus on so I bought these thinking I can give it a try. They went totally wild and my little terrier mix too. I put a piece of turkey pepperoni over the hole and then a scoop of vegetable based Dr. Harvey's. It kept them busy for about an hour and they even like them empty. I am noise sensitive and even though these were dropped repeatedly on flooring it is not an annoying sound. I love to cook so I plan on making recipes for them. Fantastic buy!
Love the new design and color!
My 2 1/2 year old Pyrenees/pit mix has had the original green pupsicle for over a year. The only problem with it was that she had figured out how to open it up so the treat disappears way too fast. When I saw the blue design I decided to order one just so I could find it easier. I am so glad I did! The new design is great! She hasn’t figured out how to open it…yet, but I also think it is better designed so she won't be able to open it. I have always loved that I can make my own treats, but this new design makes it an even better product. Well done, Woof!
Better than a Kong (but doesn't last as long)
Pros: 1. Filling the tray is much easier than filling a Kong! 2. Being able to do 4 at a time is great. 3. I love that I can make a batch of a flavor, pop them out and put them in a container, then make a new batch so I always have a variety of flavors in the freezer. Neutral: 1. I wish it came with a top for the tray (even if it was an optional add on). 2. I found it difficult to pop out the frozen treats, but found using a spoon to pry them out made it a lot easier. (Slight) negatives: 1. It only lasts my pup about 10 minutes. 2. It's somehow messier than a Kong? Overall - absolutely worth it, would buy again - in fact, I do plan to buy another Pupsicle (but one tray is all I need right now, especially with a small freezer!).
Making treats is easy-peasy with this tray!
I enjoy using this tray to make healthy treats for my dog that fit perfectly in his “Woof Treat Toy.” It came with a few recipe suggestions to get me started. The frozen ball shaped treats are easy to extract from the tray. Definitely endorsed by my dog: many happy tail wags instantly every time he sees me take the tray out of the freezer!
From bad to worse. Show mixing recipies the way they should be. If I buy the XL pupsicle, and treat freezing tray… all sepersre purchases due to poor advertising. We’ve been waiting weeks to use this. But then we get all the stuff and the instructions are horrible! You include a scooper in the bag that measureses tablespoons yet the bag says to measure in cups, and then the instructions dont differentiate between a mini Chihuahua and a Great Dane this is horrible and a waste of money. All I am is full of regrets.
Amazing design! Couldn’t be happier
They did it! They designed a treat toy better than a Kong . I wasn’t sure if it could be true, but it is! This takes my dog almost twice as long and better yet no mess! Easy to clean. I have to make my own treats due to my pups allergies, so this is an awesome option. The treat tray is easy to use and clean. Don’t hesitate to get one! I gifted one to a good friend and she loves it too. Might get them as a holiday gift for my dog loving friends. For reference my fur baby is 35lbs and the large is a great fit.
Busy, busy !
I have a very active dog whose toys don't keep him busy for very long. Pupsicle does the job. He can spend hours licking and trying to get the treat. It's best if they are frozen. The Pupsicle Treat Tray is the ideal way to freeze them. It has four rounded slots to hold them separately so they don't stick together and still retain their shape. The Tray is very flexible and not a plastic that will crack. I have found the Pupsicle Treat Tray to be a very helpful item to have.
