Yes , I recommend this product

I've had a Gen 1 Rod Vault for 10-15 years with no issues. Saw the revised model and had to give it a try. So far I have been very happy with it. Things I love about the new model: Reels face up, internal stretch loops to secure the rod/reels better, padded reel area, larger reel/rod space for fighting butts, optional 2' extension for up to 12' rods, new matte black color. Things I don't love (none are deal breakers): Cant open it without the key like the gen 1, plastic on the reel area seems thin and cheaper compared to the original.
