[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am new to the Northwest and I just purchased this shirt and I wore this shirt this Saturday and Sunday as it was down to the 40's and 80%+ humidity. I'm from the desert so this is freezing to me. I wore this shirt under another Columbia shirt and I was nice and toasty. I plan to purchase a couple more.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The weight of this shirt is great for layering and it looks good enough to wear it as a shirt, which I often do when the weather calls for more warmth than just any old shirt and you don’t want to bulk up your look for the day. The Omni Heat and Omni Wick features really work making it very comfortable for any outdoor activity. The Omni Heat feature is my favorite because it really keeps your body heat in where you need it. This is my 2nd set of this item, not because the first wore out but because I wear it so often during the winter months that I rewarded myself another shirt.
Seriously the warmest baselayer I've ever worn. I've been trying soooo many brands out there in the market. This one is the most comfortable, thinnnest yet keeping me warmest. I bought one first in the outlet then order 2 more online. I couldnt recommend enough.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I work in studios that are kept cool for the people who are exercising, but as a teacher I am not building heat. I also take a ballet class in a studio that has no heat source at all - and I run cold in the best of times! I have found this shirt to be perfect for my needs - it looks good as a "workout" top, and adding a fleece layer keeps me comfortable till either the outside temp rises or my internal temp rises. I am 5'2", 108 lbs: the small technically fit but felt too confining - I'm not a fan of being sausaged into my clothes. The medium suits me better.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I normally wear a size small. I own three colors of this shirt in medium and it fits me perfectly. Order a size up. I love this shirt. When I downhill ski, I wear this shirt, Columbia’s Omni heat vest and my ski coat and I am perfectly comfortable. Anything more than that and I end up removing layers and carrying them in my backpack. It breathes great. I’ve also worn this hiking and it’s fantastic. The only negative to this is that the material is “cold” when you first put it on. Once you warm up, it stays a very comfortable warm level.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in Mexico and contrary to popular belief, it does get cold here, especially in the upper elevations in the north. It actually snowed twice this year and temperatures below freezing are common in December and January. I bought the Omni-Heat top for my wife who is from the south where 70 degrees is cold so she isn't used to below freezing temperatures. She loves the top, she doesn't like to dress big and bulky and your Omni-Heat, heat reflective coating is very effective. She only takes it off to wash it and wears it the next day. Thank you
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My mom has had one of these shirts for years. I finally decided to get one, but the big difference between hers and this new one is the stitching on the upper chest. I am 6'0" and 250lbs with a very large chest. The stitching feels restrictive in the chest, but I think this is because I'm larger than most in my chest. Length is great. I don't have to pull it down to stay in place and I never have to worry about it slipping up. Sleeves are plenty long too, which is rare. Fabric is comfortable. Very excited to wear this on my trip to Iceland!
I usually wear a size 8 to 10. I'm 5'6 145 -150 lb, I'm small framed with fairly large breasts. This shirt fits quite snuggly which is what you want. It has a little bit of room for me but not a lot. If you normally wear a large I would size up maybe one or two times depending on the fit that you want. It is well-made quite thin so seems like it would be very comfortable. I haven't worn it yet. I'm excited to see how the omni heat product does in northern Arkansas, when it's snowing and cold out, we do a lot of camping.
This fabric is very comfortable and works great as a baselayer. I have several pairs of pants in this fabric, and I wear them frequently. So I thought I would try the top. No, it really does not work for me. I'm a solid 2X in Columbia pants and tops. I would be happy if the top fit the way it does in the models' photos, but on me the 2X is stretched tight like a swimming suit. The sleeves are VERY long, down past my knuckles, with no thumbhole to make that length useful. Odd fit, not a standard Columbia 2X.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gave this shirt 4 stars only because I haven't had the chance to use it as a base layer for cold weather, meaning below 45 degrees. I have worn it alone under a light jacket and it worked well in the low to mid 50 degree range. This is my first article of clothing with the Omni-Heat Reflective shield on the inside. I have preferred wool but wanted to give this a try. I am 116 pounds, 5'4" and I ordered a medium because I didn't want it super tight. It still is close enough to the skin that it layers well.
