Great For Extended Exposure In Snow & Wind

This jacket is perfect for my trade(Cell Tower Climber). My Macai is very warm(too warm for 40°F), and had kept me alive during some rough conditions. Have been on towers at 270 ft, with 30mph winds and freezing rain, troubleshooting equipment, and have managed to stay completely comfortable with this peice of kit. I wear it with a simple thermal and hoodie underneath and am very comfortable in >25°F for a full 10 hour day. I do wish that the shoulder pocket were slightly larger, so I could fit a phone in there, . Also, I would personally like the hand pockets to be about two inches higher up, to be more accessible while wearing a full body harness, a little elbow padding, another shoulder pocket, and some glove straps for the sleeves.

A jacket that stands up to the Iceland winds

Spent 12 days in the bitter cold of Iceland, shooting Aurora‘s standing on ice glaciers and just going around in the blistering wind in the outer regions. This jacket kept me warm, dry and free from the icy cold winds the entire time I can’t say enough how great this jacket performed. It is worth every penny.!

Warmest jacket

I bought this jacket for a trip to Iceland. Very very warm and comfortable. Things i don't like 1- the hood keeps coming off . 2- the zipper keeps getting stuck. For a $1K jacket it is very annoying.

Perfect combo of warmth & comfort

I had an 8 year old Macai which was my go to jacket over the years. Decided to get the revised version as it is significantly lighter yet without scarifying the warmth! The fit is also improved which makes it perfect not only for sporting activities but also walking and casual wear… The goretex membrane also seem better for these cold raining fall day! I got the same jacket for my daughter as well (in a smaller size of course) as prefers the Macai to other women offering!
