At the end of the day, it's worth the money!

OK, let's get the obvious out of the way yes, it's expensive. And for this reason, I didn't buy the footprint for my UL1 Bikepacking tent for 6 years, using Tyvek instead. Tyvek works fine, but when used multiple times, it actually gets smaller and no longer fits well. (All of the wrinkles and folds decrease the surface area, kinda like when you try to rewrap your 1/2 eaten burrito in the tin foil it came in and you can't!) I also was a little concerned about the bulk and weight of the footprint. But, at the end of the day, it is worth it. It fits perfectly, isn't much bulkier than the Tyvek and really doesn't weigh much at all. It also stays in place and provides more protection.
